My Forum was running good without any problem. But now when I change permissions for the Usergroups I get Database Error.

So I am not able to change any permission to any Usergroup.

    The error I get is

    Database Error!
MySQL Error : Unknown column 'ms_vopt_permissions' in 'field list'
    HTML:
    Could anyone help me out?

Hi Yes, I found that too. I need to uninstall that particular add-on properly. The problem is I did uninstall it properly and removed those XML files which causing the problems. But with no luck.

I recommend you contact the developer of the add-on.

When you uninstall a script, there is no need to remove the xml file. Did you uninstall the script through the Plugins and products - manage products?

The add-on is an add-on from the site VB Alien. It was a Video add-on. He stopped updating it so another author continued it. I upgraded it with that one. That is how this error occurred.

When I asked the support, they asked me to install it and uninstall it again properly. I did that. They particularly pointed out to remove the XML files related to it from the FTP manually. I did that all.

I can un-install all the add-ons but after uninstalling all the add-0ns if I didn't get this corrected I will be heart broken. That is why I am struggling. BTW Thanks for the help mate.

I uninstalled this feature as I had the same problem.

Found it was coming from this feature: Password expiry / history.

If you have uninstalled this modification, make sure you remove its files (especially the ones in /includes/xml). A rough guess on where the error occurs is inside the Admin CP.
