So I am starting this site soon called joyhog.com. I edited a blogger.com template and looks pretty good so far. For some reason though there is a table gap when viewed on mac safari and firefox. I have no idea what is causing it. Can anyone help? The link is below, please keep in mind it just test content right now. The site launches in a week or so. http://joyhog.com/reviews/reviewsmain.htm Also, I just recently discovered "word press" which I hear is the best for doing your own blog. There are to many wheels moving right now to scratch the blogger.com account and start my own, but in the next couple of weeks I want to start the site again using word press or some other form that doesnt involve an outside source. Can anyone offer any advice with this, I want to be able to transfer all past blogs and so on. I am fairly new to php so I could use all the help I could get. thanks
What "gap" are you talking about? I'm using FF now and I don't see any real gaps on the page... Or do you mean the centering of your sample ad banner on the right column?
Don't worry about the gap. I didn't notice it, thought it was part of the design. Worry more that your review of The Propositon is titled Superman and has a pic of Wolverine beside it?
haha, thanks for the tip. So I have taken your adive and decided not to worry about it. meanwhile, I have started playing around with wordpress using the same template. I know just about nothing about wordpress so I am having some problems. can anyone explain why this is happening? http://patricksarni.com/blogtest/wordpress/
Well, you can't just transplant whole blocks of codes from one blogging software to the other and expect it to fit. Go here http://themes.wordpress.net/ and look for a theme that fits what you want. Then you can hack the theme more to your liking.
i tried a differnt theme and still having the same problem. Im thinking its a problem with the table.
joyhog , try this theme called 3k2 a three columned k2 theme. I'm Using this one check out : ashwin.zeeblo.com if u want to put ads u can put it on the left sidebar, rest of the things go to the original sidebar, gives a more apealing look as far as the problem with gap concerned, yes that's common different browsers behave differently , compare opera and IE u will see lot of gaps like that
