Hi, I'm looking for a clean, brandable logo for a new site I'm preparing to launch. Perhaps web 2.0 style. The logo will need to work with this colour scheme. The logo is for that website (so use that name). As you'll see, I already have a logo but I don't feel the current one is brandable enough; it works as a website logo but can't really be used in external marketing material. The logo should work on a white background as well as the background of the website: This is the background If you'd like to see what the basic website will look like, go here. I would like at least 5 entries before deciding a winner. I won't set a close time for the contest yet. However, if there are no suitable entries after 10 days I will close the contest. The contest close date will be set once I receive at least 1 suitable entry!
Is there any certain Dimensions for the Logo, or logo background... I'll be posting mine shortly. EDIT:
No dimensions but a vector/scalable logo would be good. Although for the website the logo will need to be 206x146 pixels.
I like the font on the bottom one best. However, none of the three are brandable enough, I'm looking for more than just text and a simple icon. Both look quite nice but again, not brandable enough. The icon should be unique and relate to the name/product. To all: I'm looking for an icon which can standalone and work without the text. A few ideas could be an 'S' somehow incorporated with an icon or an icon related to php scripts.
Better icon, but not sure the overall logo is what I'm looking for. I think I'd prefer something 'more web 2.0ish' - if that makes sense! I don't particularly like the effect on the icon and the text isn't really what I'm looking for. If you can make the logo more web 2.0 and maybe add a little something to the icon this could be good though.
A wee selection, either with or without scroll outline is available, all are vector images: Feedback welcome
A bit too simple, and the icon itself isn't really what I'm looking for. Not too keen on the font either. There's almost too much going on in these logos. Not keen on the fonts, although the last 'S' has potential. I see your idea with the script bordering, but as a standalone logo it won't really work. Try simplifying the whole thing and add a standalone icon.
Not keen on the font, and I just don't think the icon is brandable enough, sorry! It may seem like I'm contradicting myself (as I said your previous icon was too simple), but I think the icon is too complicated here. To everyone: Web 2.0 is a style I like!
Nice icon, my favourite so far. The simple text does work but maybe if it was changed a little, for example a different colour for the 'script' part, it would look good. Would it be possible to show the icon on a white background too.
Not sure this is really what I'm looking for. Not a fan of the shadow on the icon, and the text is too small.
Certainly: As to the text, I'm not sure that making the first half different from the second would be helpful (the icon "catches" the "script" part and sort of lifts it up and away from the "icious", thereby seperating them), but if that is what you want, I will think of something. Regards, Ben
Ok, I see where you're coming from. I do like this logo but could you try adding a few effects perhaps on the logo and text, as it seems almost too basic at the moment (although I know I am asking for something simple!). Hmmm, not sure on this one. The icon is quite good. I don't like the text really, I prefer less heavy fonts and often like it when its not capitalised. Maybe try one or two more concepts with the icon but different font and colours.
