There's many haters of the Amazon Associates Program.... I have written a post about why I LOVE It... Amazon Associates Affiliate Program - Why I Love It Hope it helps someone!
I read your blog post. I have a question, what is your primary method of amazon marketing? AOM? astore? other website? PPC? Thanks.
I like the positive energy of your post. I would also like to know what marketing methods you recommend.
thanks for the encouraging post. sometimes as an affiliate you wonder if anyone really makes a living at it or not. this proves it.
I use Wordpress as a content management system, creating links that direct to Amazon. As far as marketing, 97-98% of my traffic is organic... (from the search engines... mostly Google).... So I do SEO marketing/link building to get to the top of the search engines for my main keywords. If you haven't.... read my long comment I wrote to a nay-sayer in the comments of the post above.
Thanks Breakaway, I read the comments, which I had not read the first time. Would you mind disclosing how many niche amazon sites you currently run? Just curious, so I can get a better handle on how many you have vs. the profit you've made. Thanks!
I've had limited success with Amazon - ebay seems to convert a lot better. Good article though. You raise some good points. It's the marketing that counts - gotta get people in a buying mood.
Last year, I really only had 2 sites, and one of them made 90-95% of the $14,000. It was a good niche, and i was able to get to the top of the search engines quickly.... but, any site can have the same success... just pick a keyword with a lot of searches, and work hard to get to the top of the search engines for that keyword....
Hello, Interested in reading your post. However, the link is not accessible. Getting "Address Not Found" error. Could you please check. or reproduce your post over here?
Hi, great post and glad for your success. So what is your opinion on using direct links vs aom? I'm hearing both sides on this and both can make money. Maybe it doesn't matter as long as you are driving traffic to your site and people are buying. I'm curious though if you think that if you were using aom or something simular that your conversion would be better.
Yes, I agree with you as amazon is one of the best affiliate site. Because I have earned over $1000 a month from here.
I like Amazon because I can link to just about anything It doesn't matter what my site is about, there are things you can buy on Amazon related to it. But I have a lot to learn about making decent money from it. Do you have any articles/tips on how to make good money with Amazon? I am barely making payout most months! I am thinking about setting up an astore, but not sure if anyone would actually use it or not or if other stores would be better options...
I had bad experience with Amazon. I was promoting their goods for a month and no results... I gave up
It's nearly impossible to be fruitful with Amazon since their cookie only lasts fir 1 damn day. Your visitors have to want to buy right then and there.
