Try to add a simple html page and check whether it loads slow too.
If it does, then it's your server problem,
If not, could be a combination of your script and you server.

wel you can use this tool here to see how fast your website loads from all over the world. You might have a problem with your internet connection that makes it load slowly.

Slow loading time might also come from a poor hosting and even if you have a lot of images or flash objects on your websites.

    Do you have:

ads with images coming from other servers?
    google analytics?
    another tracking tool?
text ads coming from other servers?
videos hosted in Amazon or other third party?

or in general, anything that will load stuff from other servers one way or another?

the more you have the slower will be...

    do you have:

    heavy images?
    too many images?
    podcasts or video?

the more you have... you know... ;)

if you post a link it might be easier to find the problem... :)

    mmmm don't see anything jumping....

and actually it is not that slow. The first time it take a bit, but after the cache working. it loads fast.

your background image is a bit big, but not that big.

you have a couple of plugins going on... but the natural ones.

when you noticed it? what was the last change-addition you did before it slowed down?

and how often are you pinging?

    Yes, it can be.
I would advise you to spend a little more money on the web hosting.

    It may be due to
    - your web host
    - the size of the images?
    - excess codes which can be minimized

what is the bandwidth of your host ?
It is the major reason sites load slowly.

Try checking your air filter. Just kidding. There are many variables which could be causing this. I have found that some hosts offer one thing and provide something else. I agree that you should use some of the tools suggested to slim down what the problem could be.

Maybe its the host who might be responsible for large downtime. Its only 20 Kb so the culprit is server alone.
