Sounds like vegetarian. I think it would be hard to say to a friend and have them spell it right the first time. Also sounds like vegewwwww each time I say it, but I've been known to have been educated by hooked on monkey phonics.
All vegetable jokes aside, fact is you have a very brandable name there, and once you create that brand for yourself, the vegetable confusion will disappear. I say it's a really nice 5 letter domain, and definitely brandable for WHATEVER purpose you want.
Hmmmm I think it does sound like a vegetarian site. Did you pick the name because you wanted something that relates to speed or quickening? If so, how about the latin word 'Veloci'??
I also agree with my friends that one will imagine the site would be related to vegetarian people or food etc.
