if you have a webhost and use a service like aweber..i don't see how you could get banned..?
I'm looking to start my own list within the next few weeks,perhaps the 3 of us could work together.
even if its just promoting each others products on each of our lists?

Hey man! Hows it going? I have been reading the thread daily, jut didn't feel I had much to contribute. I have been working on my article writing, writing at least 4-5 articles a day. I have them all linked to my site, but i am still trying to set up my site so its attractive and to make it seem mutually beneficial.

(Plus I am working on the ebook to give away and also one which is even more detailed/strategic ebook compared to the generic ebook I will give out for free with the subscriptions.)

Anyways, I will for sure be watching this forum daily, I will still post when I have some updates, and I will help regulate the spamers! Wonder if everyone knows that spaming after the forum creator has asked to end it all several times is leading to harassment. Some people just can't keep their criticisms to themselves...

Whatever.. I'm still here following along and doing the same things as you! Thanks for keeping to your word of regularly updating when you can!

I've finally got hosting with unlimited addon domains, so i can start building my list. I'll be setting up my own journal thread.

I actually did it. This week i managed to write 8 complete,and about 3 half done articles. I posted 8 of them in a pack and today sold them! While i got paid less than what i hoped,the feeling of even that small amount ($25) is enough to spur me on.
I've managed to this week,get my article writing from 1.5hours down to 25min a article. I'm still fighting the interruptions. (currently of the three of us living in this household has no income coming in,so for me there is no going back only forward)

So you spent at least 200 minutes writing and made a total of $25? That's about $7.50 per hour. You guys have to stop working so hard for minimal returns and start working smarter. Figure out how to write 50 articles in one hour...yes, that is possible to do without stealing or duplicating content (or paying any money).

This thread is like a bunch of impotent, blind men discussing hot young blondes - it's a depressing waste of time.

Well,yes the returns may suck as far as time and money. But I can say i learnt from the experience.
Right now that $25 is far better than zero. My next goal is to obviously earn higher than that. And for the next week I won't just be focussing on writing articles,i'm also working on wp themes and report writing and starting the process to build a list.
Also, apart from my crappy posts I have no evidence online that i can write. (I'm terribly lazy when it comes to writing posts, from my own point of view considering I know i can write properly when needed.)

So this initial lot of articles will give me a good review,and then next time i list i'll charge higher.

As far as i'm concerned this isn't depressing at all. If you don't want to be a part of it dont read the thread-simple.



It's just like watching a crappy tv show-no one is forcing you to watch. You can switch channels.

Thats all i'm saying.

 

I think you would be better off just starting a WP blog and developing it.

Sorry it took so long for me to reply to your post, while I am pretty experienced with articles I am a newbie when it comes to forums If you are curious my list is in the thousands, but growing daily. My CTR is similar to yours, which I think is pretty good for the IM niche. I started article marketing in July, so I guess that is about 7 months. Once I get my ten posts and have been a member for a week I can then add a Sig. to my website.

 

good luck and you need to aim for $1000 if you want to get to $500

 

4 of my 8 submitted articles have been declined, again theres are "general problem" I have no idea why. It might be my crap writing but I don't think it's that bad. Anyways I'm not gonna let that stop me so I will keep on writing articles until its resolved. 2 more articles have been written today. Yesterday I created a quick YOUTUBE video using windows movie maker with "call to action" and link in description aswell as video. Stats say that I got 1 visitor to my website from Youtube. Looks promising. So instead of just writing my articles and waiting around for ezinearticles to get their butts together. I will be making youtube videos. If 1 video gets me 1 visitor per day then 100 videos will get me 100 visitors per day (in theory). Here goes.

I didn’t update yesterday because I didn’t a change 2 so I’ll cover 2 days worth of posts. You might have remembered from my last post that 4 of my ezinearticles were declined. I got an email from ezinearticles and basically they explained that they no longer accepted articles on that topic anymore. Fair enough so I deleted them. I’m on basic membership which allows 8 article submission, 4 have been approved but the 4 that were submitted which now have been deleted have “taken” the remaining 4 submissions. Right now I can’t submit anything even though only 4 have been approved. I’ve just sent ezinearticles an email so they can reset the remaining 4 submissions. My drafts box is full with 30 articles so I’m writing on a word doc for now until I have space to submit drafts. I wrote 2 articles yesterday and today, so my total article count minus the 4 deleted ones is now 36 articles. I have £6.51 in my adwords account left which should be exhausted I say in about a week or so, hopefully my EZ account is functioning by then.

About my list, the 4th follow up has now been sent and they all have been gambling related (free proven profitable systems), I think it’s time to slowly talk about the make money online niche. Even though many may disagree that if it’s gambling then stick to gambling BUT gambling in my opinion is not as “safe” as starting an internet marketing business. For example selling info products on ebay is easier and safer than gambling. I dunno how I’ll do it but this is my aim. Possibly sending free gifts promoting IM products should balance the fact that it’s not gambling related.

It’s a risk I’m willing to take because I’m not very keen promoting gambling systems I’ve never tried and I don’t think I want to try anymore as my interest is internet marketing. The ones I have tried have proven to work but are UK based and there’s only so much I can promote. At most I can only promote about 2 systems because that’s what I believe in…what next after? Might as well try and bring them into “make money online”.

I won’t be going for the hard sell cause I know it’s not a good idea. Instead I know a few butterflymarketing style websites that giveaway free products. One of them is an audio product and its excellent. These butterflymarketing style websites have OTO (one time offers) and according to the owner, he says it converts at around 7.3%. Im going to wait till I get 100 subscribers then shoot out that email as the 5th followup and see how this pans out. It can’t be bad right because they are getting free content.

I created another video for my traffic ebook and loaded it onto youtube, we’ll see

I think it could work.

Depending on the intelligence of your subscribers,they;ll either be interested or unsubscr.

• Others will see the opportunity,and want more
• Some gamblers are compulsive and enjoy it,and won't give it up to seek better returns elsewhere

For that 5th followup I have an idea how you can approach it.

Along with the free gift,you could write an article to include in followup which goes along the lines of..
"Whats gambling got to do with Internet Marketing?"
or "What gambling can teach you about IM"

or.."what can gambling teach you about making money online"

IMO,You need to show them benefits of IM,and how gambling relates to it.

Great thread so far, but I am curious about one thing: Why do you keep writing all these articles for ezinearticles etc. when you could be developing some major CONTENT for your own website? These articles that you submit to the various article directories usually end up on porn or scraper sites and don't do anything for you so why are you wasting all this effort when it looks like you could have had about 40 pages of unique content on your own website already and your earnings would be way more than $0!!!

Article marketing is pretty much a waste of time now....

The reason why I'm writing all these articles for ez is because my main aim is to build a list. In my opinion buliding a list is much more valueable than a blog website. I realise that a blog website is just as important but not right now. EZ has the traffic there and I'm taking advantage of it by sending all traffic to a squeeze page. It's much easier for me to write articles and get lots of targetted traffic than to host a blog and write comments and use signatures for getting traffic. Even if I had my own site with unique content I'd still have less traffic if I didn't do article marketing at the start. I do aim to point my subscribers to my site when I feel it's useful. Right now its just a diary of what I'm doing.

Does anyone else agree?

If i was in a position to be doing what your doing... (I'm committed to wordpress theme dev and article writing for quick profit now) I'd start in the same manner,but at the same time build content .
So if i was writing 2 articles for EZ,i'd write another 2 for the blog.
Then slowly as i'm about to introduce the list to the blog i'd begin adding the content I'd been building.
I'd make use of wordpress's timed posts(can't remember for the life of what the feature is called. )

of course,the content would have to keep readers interested,and the content mailed out would need to be just as interesting.

 

If you're unemployed, how do you only have 3 hours a day and 2 at night to work on your web presence. You can make the money, it just takes COMMITMENT. I know firsthand that motivation can be hard, but if you can give yourself fully to the business, you can expect only half the results.
