I charge $20 to submit them to 90 topsites, so for 50 topsites it should be about half that.

It does not work like that, you could host 214214 proxies with zero traffic with zero issue. You will just have to bite the bullet and test it. The main factor here is traffic. Some people will say i am wrong or say that they can have 20 proxies on a vps with 512mb of ram, but its like how long is a bit of string? I am using about 5gb of ram in my peak over two servers for about 90 sites but that still doesnt help you.

For starting off 512mb of ram will be fine but you will probably outgrow it soon. My first proxy server had less ram and was only a P3 but it stood its ground for about 2 months before i could not even ssh into it

Can someone help me out? I put CANEP banner onto my proxified pages. However, it isn't appearing. This has been happening for over a week (I even changed the ad spot and stuff).

I've emailed CANEP like 5 times, and called them a few times, and they aren't answering. This is very frustrating.

    Thanks guys:

It could be because canep only has a certin fill rate.. try setting a passthrough code or freshing your proxied page a few times to see if it shows.

My canep only fills 10% of my traffic IF that..

It isn't, Glype doesn't parse JS in it's templates.
I've been refreshing constantly, doesn't help. How do I set a passthrough code?

Thats going to look like fraud to them, they would stop serving the ads to that ip anyway.

As noted, in this thread freedomofads / adecn is going to shit. They owe me $1000 almost, and are not replying to emails. Cannep is run through the same adecn company. Its probably a blessing that they arnt showing up as also noted they hijack your traffic.

Canep Media is a completely different company with no connection to Freedom of Ads. Canep is relatively well respected (especially by proxy owners due to their letting us in at all) and continues to pay on time, every time.

Yes, it's true that they do also use the adecn advertising platform, but bagging them out isn't terribly helpful for anyone as adecn isn't doing any worse a job than the Yieldmanager network at the moment as it's advertisers and ad networks, not network platform operators that introduce these problems.

I don't refresh enough to make it look like fraud though.

Hey, what do you use for CPM? I'm using Global Interactive, and I already applied to Adversal but am waiting for a response.

Then look into using a php/geoip setup the current geoip is far more accurate then BAC. Though neither will block 100%

anyone here with a vps and using it to host a busy proxy how the load averages?

I finding it hard to believe that my vps is not performing too well for its size.

    Guaranteed RAM: 2048MB
    Burstable RAM: 4096MB

My load peaks over 50.00 sometimes!!

And sits around 10.00 to high 20.00 at times.

checking the ram usage in hypervm it only shows that its using around 450MB to max i seen it go is 600MB.

traffic is peaking at around 500kB/s to 1500kB/s in and out

I'm writing a proxy eBook right now. It's going to be 10 chapters long. So far I've written 3 chapters, and it's 18 pages and 3.7k words long.

I'm just curious who would be interested in getting a review copy. I will be selling it for 19.99, but if you want a review copy you should have a genuine interest in making proxies. - whether you are a newbie or having been making them for ages.
