Of - late I have been getting huge amount of SPAM submissions on my few "Paid For Review" directories! Most submissions have same characteristics --- In-appropriate Titles, Description full of SPAMMY Keywords Categories not even close to the site -- And Reciprocal links from a Page not indexed and full of links! But there are other SPAM submissions as well. Some deliberately submit to Paid For Review directories - thinking that the Owner/Editors would just approve them without checking. Today - I got one such submissions and when I wrote back to the owner - he/she boldly says - They consider "Paid For Review" directories as paid links!
make it clear in your submission guidelines that spam with not be approved even with payment....and clearly define spam.
Just delete, dont waste time contacting them, i recently was being spammed on one of my directories daily by russian sites, slowed it down with blocking the end of the email addresses i think. IP's were too varied to start blocking.
I rewrite the title, description etc and move to the appropriate category, that's what the fee is for in our case express review and our time to fix it. If they don't like it they should have submitted correctly in the first place. That assumes they can read or even care about your guidelines.
I just delete it. Then when they email me complaining or open paypal dispute i link to my submission guidelines and always win. Then they email me saying I'm a 12 year old that sleeps with his grandmother.
doesnt matter if they read them or not. as along as its clearly defined, he can take the money, not include the submission, and never deal with it again.
We just ban the domain and IP and end of story... Writing them back only gives away your email address for them to start spamming you as its normally just another webmaster or submission service that is trying to cause ya grief and hoping you get out the business... Some are even regular members here as was proven the other day when a so called SEO sent us an email in BULK with about 100 other emails attached that where mostly members here or people that submit to directories on regular basis. laterz malcolm
I once banner an 122. starting ip... can't remember the whole ip digits, but a week later a guy from Australia contacted me and asked me why he is banned and cannot submit. So after that incident, I only ban domains eventually, but not IP Addresses.
Well i suppose it wont matter after we upgrade the script and require correct email address verification or the submission wont be received Game Over laterz malcolm
yea sorry, I misunderstood. I thought he was actually receiving payment for spam sites and couldnt decide if he should approve them
still accepts it just as long as I am earning then why not.. LOL.. just kidding... spam is a no no to SEO.. I'll definitely disapprove it's submission..
