    Hi,

I was looking for some advice about selling text links. Is 140 dollars per year for a link on a pr4 site a good deal? what about 150 for an in post lifetime link? whats the going rates really?

If i paid 150 dollars for a forever link on a pr4 blog's post, am i getting a good deal? or what about 100 dollars for a site wide on a pr3?

help about the market greatly appreciated

    That seems reasonable to me.

The best way to check is look at similar listings as to what you're talking about in the marketplace here at the forum.

I'm looking buy good links here from some time .. and I'll tell you NO .. it's not good price .. except the site is updated and quality .. Most of the sites here are very overpriced .. they are "dead" sites with some PR .. PR doesn't mean nothing .. if you don't believe me ask some SEO guy with years experience ..

It really depends on quality of site (regular update, good backlinks, decent traffic)
I sell links too...some time I sell $25/month on my best quality pr2 site and on other hand I have sold $25/year on a pr2 site as well. There was huge difference b/w quality of both sites. so a big difference in price too

The price is fair IF the site is fair value. Being able to decide if a site is fair value is the trick now, isn't it? lol

I wouldn't pay that much for a dropped domain, for example.

man, those prices seem crazy high to me. But maybe it's just because I get my links on PR3 and PR4 blogs all the time for MUCH less!

I wouldn't pay for any service online for a year in my opinion. I know it works out cheaper but things come and go on the internet

it all depends on what people are willing to pay.

To find that out, just make an ad and get offers.

seems people are going both ways on this. what is a dropped domain?

the site doesn't get much traffic...maybe a few hundred hits a day and the domain is only like 4 months old....but it has a lot of links to it and its updated everyday....

    does that make a difference?

Yes - they're penalized. But it's often difficult for Google to tell which links are paid.

Also, If people are buying links from you - why not raise the price by $10 and see if they keep buying

alot of sites are overpriced. search for commited bloggers that have feeling for blogging, they are the ones you should search for when you want quality backlinks
