I recently signed up with card service international aka: first data They said my business (seo and press release services) were not an acceptable type of business to have their merchant account. They opened and closed my account the same week... Does anyone know of a merchant account service (not paypal or the like) a real merchant account that allows me to accept credit cards visa MC online that is not so strict?? My average ticket price/average sale is $1500.00 and I process about 15 - 20,000.00 USD $ per month. Any help would be great!
Did you get any chargebacks? Generally, I would classify this as consulting, which is somewhat high risk. But, it's still not in the red zone as far as processing in the US goes. First Data is getting really tight with their underwriting for online businesses. Also, do you know if you were placed on the TMF or was your account just shut down?
They believe that you will receive many chargebacks. They most likely came up with that assumption from past clients with provided such clients. Just find another merchant.
why you dont try to use clickbank or authorized or google checkout,I think 3 of this is a great merchant service that has been use by so many people to trade money to service or stuff online, other merchant service you can try is offerpal that I believe can make Great solutions for you
The problem with Google and Paypal is the recurringn billing. Neither are really the best solution for doing so. I too just filled out a First Data application. I have a membership site. So who knows. I googled it and found HighRiskPay.com. We'll see. As the poster above say, it's not credit as much as the type of business and how it's perceived. Paypall bought Cybercash, PayFlow Link and Pro. Payflow is an option but it's about a $200 setup fee and does not integrate with all third-party shopping carts.
You can try gspay if you want merchant account 100%. If they reject your business maybe the last choice would be to send an application with a payment processor companies based in offshore country.
You will have a few options left. GSPAY might be a good suggestion, however it depends really on where you are located, I assume it is the US try to speak with the guys at http://cdgcommerce.com/ they have a good reputation and has been in the business for many years.... only US merchants accepted.
