I am wondering how to great great quality score right off the bat.. And how can I have it STAY great forever? Here are the things I think matteR: 1.) Inbound LInks 2.) Keywords in title, metatags, body, etc. 3.) Image file names with keywords 4.) Words related to keyword within body 5.) Keywords within body at high density 6.) Privacy Policy, Contact Us, etc. at bottom 7.) Small niche? Larger niches = harder to get GREAT for? 8) Outbound links to authority site (preferrably at bottom) Anyone know anything more? I want to get a GREAT quality score and dont want to mess around with "OK" quality score any more Any suggestions?
Not going to hijack the thread, but I got a question that`s down about the same alley; do a high number of non-semantic markups mess with the QS?
Obviously having as targetted a landing page as possible per product/service but isn't it correct too that CTR affects QS? It affects CPC which is partly influenced by QS, or am i getting confused.
One thing I`ve been thinking about: high ctr will lower the cost pr click. What if you use the content network and show your ads on random pages all over the place, just to get high ctr, and then changes the ad so it shows only on searches. Is that possible, will the ctr from the content network still be there if you suddenly show ads for searches only? Content clicks are cheaper, that`s why I ask..
The main things to worry about with Quality Score is the keywords, select just a few for each group and write them into the ad headline, ideally somewhere else in the ad too, and then make sure the landing page contains the exact keyword phrases several times. Ideally have a H1 tag with the keywords on the landing page too. Some QS for my Small Business AdWords clients I can NEVER get above 8, no matter how hard I try so I do think it isn't always an exact science.
Do you ever get great QS right off the bat? I can only get a 7/10...... Would you mind looking at a page of mine?
For my first ever campaign i instantly had 9 for some keywords, and the rest were 7. For 9 instantly, all i can think of was the landing page, url, even hosting was as specific as possible.
from my experience which is quite short so far I have found that having a landing page that matches what your add is offering is quite important.
To get a QS over 8/10 (that is the maximum before the 30 clicks milestone) u should have an ad with something like this KEYWORD text in title First line of ad Second line KEYWORD urlgoeshere.com/KEYWORD. At first I also suggest getting in the 1-3 (bidding on these places) to assure a high CTR and get to 9/10 For 10/10 the copy of the landing page should have around 2% keyword density.
- Long run account. - Payment history, More than $3,500 charged with never charge declined. - Account CTR history. (minimum average 2%)
