Do you live in a country where Paypal allows withdrawals?

    Hello guys...

I am looking for people who live in countries that are permitted to withdraw from Paypal, and have actually withdrawn CASH at least once from their Paypal balance.

I live in Tanzania which is a country NOT permitted to withdraw from Paypal.

    Now my questions are:

    1. What is the country name in your paypal account?

    2. What type of account is it? (Personal, Premier or Business?)

    3. What proof elements did Paypal ask when you confirmed your account so that you can withdraw? (by proof elements I mean stuff like bank account details, checking/current account details, proof of physical address, credit card, etc)

    4. How did you withdraw from paypal? (eg did you use Paypal debit card? Check? or Did you transfer funds from Paypal to your bank account?)

The reason I am asking this is b'se someone has told me that I can open a Paypal account in a Receive country and confirm it using a VCC as a credit card, however I understand Paypal sometimes asks for extra proof elements and not credit cards alone, but requirements vary from country to country.

    Your help is appreciated.

    Thanks

You have to withdraw funds through your bank account also. In India this is the main option for most of the paypal users now.

Thanks guys for your input. For my friends in India do you mean the Paypal debit card which you can use to withdraw from an ATM is not available yet for India?

Meanwhile can a foreigner like myself get a bank account in India, plus a debit ATM card that I can use to withdraw from ATM's outside India?

If your country is supported by paypal, you can use all their features bar the `paypal debit card' which, imho, is available for USA citizens only.

@dar.millionaire: I doubt whether you can open a bank account in an Indian bank.

    PerfectMoney,

Do you mean you did NOT use your bank account details to verify paypal?
Have you withdrawn any CASH from your paypal balance?
What is the "4 code card" you are referring to?

Paypal offers accounts pretty much all over the world, but not all accounts are equal, in some countries you can only send money, but cannot withdraw locally. That's where I live, so I'm looking for a way to work around this restriction.

Tanzania is a SEND Only country which means you can only use Paypal to pay others and because there is no way you would have a paypal balance, it only make sense that there is no option to withdraw.

You can always sign up pretending to be from another country if and only if you want your account limited and you coming back a few weeks or months later and screaming how Paypal limit your account and throw the keys to your account away.

If you value your account then do it honestly. There are payment processors such as 2checkout.com and Plimus.com which are primarily 3rd party payment processors which would accept credit cards, a host of other payment methods inclusive of Paypal. If you use them, you can rest assured that you will continue using the account and not look over your shoulder's every day waiting for the day your account would be limited.

Besides if you try signing up for an account using fake details, you would need to spend a lot of time, money and effort to keep up the lie. One small mistake could ruin your account. Besides like I always say, if Paypal finds that you and your countrymen cannot abide by rules, how would they be able to trust your country by allowing you to receive money in the near future ?

He means the 4 digits paypal sends back to your bank when you link your credit card with them. This should be entered into their system to get your account verified.

    Eddy,

Thanks for your advise. But finding legitimate loopholes in a system is not the same as lying or cheating, OK?

Business success is always about finding loopholes (others call them "opportunities")

I am looking into Plimus. I already know abt 2checkout, their main drawback is you have to pay a fee for each domain.

    Cheers

How would signing up for a paypal account and using an address and country which is not where you are physically located as a legal loophole and permitted by paypal ? Did you ask them ?

Even if you are relocating to a new country or staying there for a long term, you are supposed to close the existing account and open one in the new country. At least that is what Paypal told me.
