why do you say "wow"? One on my sites currently have 14,000 indexed pages but it does not mean it has much hits a day. Acctually it is less than 150 a day.
Wow is a word said to something that is seen surprising And That big change in the no. of indexed pages makes someone to say that word, especially me.
BTW, other site which have less than 50 pages in index has more hits a day than the site which has 14,000 pages in index. In my opinion, the number of pages one has in index is not usually so important.
I would have thought it would be more important in the sense that the more pages you have, the better chance you would have that someone would find your site, because with more pages, you can have more variety in keywords.
We had around 22,000 pages indexed but it suddenly started showing only around 600 or so a few weeks ago- our hits from Google are still increasing though strangely........ I am using marketleap.com to check using SE saturation tool, is there a better place to use?
indexed is important, but SERPS are even more important. I have 20,000 pages indexed, but hardly any rankings on one of my sites.
Tell me how many of those 10.300 are pages no longer existing ? I have the same situation for a website of mine .. And 30.000 out of the current 31.000 no longer exist on the server for about 6 months.
*yawn* Results 1 - 50 of 876 on google.com. Who cares what the datacenters show. Most of us have high numbers there. Let us know when you get the 11,000 pages on Google.com. That's what we're all waiting for!!!
Well if you had 13,999, and say someone searched for an article, which your site has but it isnt indexed, thats one possible less unique to your site
I just wrote a post now about the lower indexed pages problem that many webmasters have. I hope it helps someone.
I now believe that start of end of gooogle has just started after Big Daddy. Unfortunately or luckily there is not any powerful english competitor against Google.Though Baidu doesn't hold english searches.
That is just speculations and to be honest I haven't seen any real evidence that this is true. Example: My directory http://www.2yi.net relatively new but guess what 22.000 pages indexed Does it have sitewide link on it, not really but the sponsored links are rotated at the sidebar (7 max) and because currently there are very few sponsored links it is almost like they are sitewide. Do I have sitewide links pointing at it? Yes most of the links pointing to it are sitewides (probably about 95% or more) Does it have a lot of identical pages? It's a new directory it is bound to have identical pages now that is new and there are a lot of empty categories Noone can say for sure now why we are facing this problem and I wouldn't give any advice to change anything now because there is nothing worst than trying to act when you are in panic, I have lost 90% of my income but I am waiting to see what is going on before I try to do any changes at my websites. Now it's just a time to observe not to act imho.
Still not bad for a new directory with 430 categories and 750 links although that datacenter is the exception
Now you're going with the "Still not bad" ? Yeah .. nice approach .. I just told you that there ARE problems .. Why won't you accept it ? In an above post you say: I just gave you real evidence .. And it's on 3 DC's, not one ..
I am saying that there are problems but until we see what is the real problem any speculation and actions now might cause more harm than good. Sorry that I questioned your authority.
