What about setting up your site already and stop wasting your time posting questions which you can answer yourself? Any hosting will do. You will also need to write content for your new site, and promotion won't be easy.

What scale are you aiming at? Do you have a budget? I wouldn't start this project without a budget. If that's OK, try to source some freebies or samples to give away to your visitors.

Are you passionate about fashion? Can you tell the difference between D&G and Versace when you see them? If you don't know anything about fashion and lifestyle, don't go there. Just don't - you'll lose more than you could ever gain. This is a very competitive niche.

Hosting? I use IXwebhosting if that helps. If you're not running multiple sites, you can go with their basic account. That's $3.95 a month with unlimited usage of their USA based servers. Gimme a PM if you need to know more.

the above first by silver is completely unhelpful....

anyways, i suggest getting a basic shared hosting account with like 5gb space and 100gb bandwidth (you can always upgrade later)
you will need to start you domain off by trying to submit your site to social bookmarkings and get google to index your site. read up on a lot of SEO (search engine optimization) on this site theres a lot of good threads.
mak sure you update your site frequently, and make sure you site is easy to navigate and things like that..
get your site up and start working asap :)
    hope they help a little..

unique content and backlinks are what you need. Neither are easy to come by, particularly as you seem to have chosen a popular yet widely diversified niche. It sounds almost as if you want to create an online 'GQ' mag. I'd keep the hosting cheap till you need more. Hostgator, bluehost etc will all be fine for your needs until such time as you 'make it big'.

Yes, I think it's a good idea but as with any site it's taking the time to advertise. But like I said, I think the idea is a good one.

Godaddy or Bravenet have a few different hosting plans and some offer free search vouchers to help with the advertising of your site initially - worth a look around, as there are deals to be had..

The only way to answer "will it be a good idea" is to test it out for yourself. If you can get sales and a reasonable profit margin, then yes ... it's a good idea.

There are more hosting options than you could ever count. Just pick a reputable company and begin moving forward.

It is hard to say. How will you advertise it? what are your expectations?
If you want to go big with these you must have starting budget. Try Hostbite web hosting. Unlimited web space and bandwidth. It is good for begining. If your site get popular you will need a whole server :)

You can choose any hosting service that is affordable to you.The major thing would be promoting your website, in my opinion choose some product of same category or criteria which is profitable and developed and add content about that on your website.
