Better Monetize my Windows Vista site?

One of my sites: http://www.themes4vista.com has pretty poor monetization. I am good with monetizing proxies, but I don't want to send my quality users away by putting stupid stuff on my site. At the same time, I need to get paid, and I am bearly doing that with the Google ads that are on the page now. I could quite frankly remove all the Google ads and put up Adversal and make the same ammount of money. Its ridiculous.

So here is my question. Last month the link unit at the top got 7600 clicks alone, for a grand total of $151.63 which is pretty pathetic. Can't show the ecpm per Googles TOS, but you do the math. CPM ads are almost better. So my question being this. How can I better monetize this, with my main concern being I still want it to be a quality site.

I tried a few weight loss affiliate offers on the right in Jan, thats why its so low. But it typically only earns about $17 a month. I am up for experimenting, but my experiments thus far have got me paid less then google.

I would prefer to not do popups unless I have to, but I am open for your guys suggestions. I have not had lots of experience maintaining a quality site. So I am looking for some advice from some experienced folks. Just looking for a little direction.

What questions do you have for me?

Thanks in advance to everyone who helps!

Well surely the obvious is to sell adspace directly, you could either sell static ads or rotate them on refresh. Also you could try things like clickbank to sell computer related products.

IMO,you should better position your ads placement coz if you place the ads at strategic place and i'm sure you can get a lot of click for visitor.

Try finding some software-related affiliate programs, commissions in this industry may be sky-high since we deal with virtual products. I'm sure that someone in this world sell commercial themes for Vista - try to find a decent partner.

I think your AdSense account may be smart priced from all of your proxy traffic which is generally low quality in the eyes of Google. Try using a separate AdSense account if possible and see if your EPC goes up.

I don't use my adsense account on my proxies. I have a trade worked out with a friend. I use their adsense account on my proxies and we trade other stuff for it.

I only use my adsense on my SEO sites.

As for the other suggestions above, thanks. I have been working on it and initial results show I am up about 30%. Which is excellent. I will keep working on it.
