Hi dp members What is your greatest obstacle you face on a daily basis in internet marketing and how do you over come it?
Trying different methods to get traffic and failing .It can be easily overcome by learning why it failed and what method doesn't work and again coming up with some new traffic generator method.
Staying motivated. Probably the #1 reason people look for automation or quick fixes is that marketing is very tedious work. A good example is how many bookmarking automation tools people use now, yet most of them don't work well.
Information overload. You know all these subjects you have to know about: seo, wordpress, adsense, affiliate marketing, etc. etc. Staying focused.
Indeed, staying focused is the hardest part, cause there are many marketing methods othere. But I overcame it by discovering which method works best for my stuff.
Internet marketing requires money and taking risk. The main thing is that you should be able to recover money as soon as possible.
I agree with staying motivated. It takes time to build up traffic. Sometimes years before you get any significant traffic. You need a lot of patience and hard work.
For myself staying motivated and also keeping to a regular "working" schedule can be the hardest. When you work from home, it can be easy to become distracted, which must be avoided.
I would have to agree that time management can be a struggle. To keep this in check I try to make an outline of exactly what I want to accomplish on a given day. For example I may do some intense article marketing for a certain amount of time, then I may work on optimizing landing pages, then I may do some work on my blog. This can become quite difficult for myself if I do not schedule the process out in advance.
Staying motivated and use different stuff and which thing giving best performance.we always can't use same market strategies with all sites.vey competitive field.Marketing never stop, always continue with different plans.
Competition in the working domain to over come this need patience and continuous efforts to come up, also pricing will be deciding factor in many areas
It was finding the right niche, but I've found two that are very profitable. Now, it's a matter of increasing conversion.
Distraction no doubt for me. I have ADD so sometimes it can be difficult to sit and write content hour after hour. But it still beats a f*ckin' JOB. Cheers! - Kyle
Staying focused on one thing. It's all to easy to jump from one project to the next without seeing them through to completion. I've unsubscribed from almost all the lists I was on to help stay focused. It defiantly helps.
Finding the time to do everything I need to do and some times finding the money to get it all outsourced is difficult as well. My focuss used to be bad, but its back on track now. I can get a good amount of work done, but I guess I just need more hours in the day.
The biggest obstacle just like in weightlifting is staying motivated. I don't think money is necessarily an obstacle because I've gotten from 40 visitors a day to 150 without ad money. The ad money I did use was wasted. However, time is certainly something that must be sacrificed and time equals money. Therefore, a days worth of work pays off in the future big time. But don't expect big money starting out. You might not get any at all. However, spending money on educational books or seminars might be helpful. But don't go straight into Adwords, paid traffic, SEO etc without investing in education. I'd probably skip adwords and paid traffic even with education. Focus on do it yourself SEO.
