I cant think it has grown too big. I think its growth is only attributed to its usefulness. That just means to me that if that many people find it useful than it cant be to big.... maybe not big enough.
Google has really become too big but it is our benefit in it, because traffic is increasing and so is the income.

Storing data is one thing and ranking it is another. Google is having a hard time ranking the sites. As simple as that. Unlike 10 years ago, now there are tons of great content. In most niches, it's very hard to choose the best 10 result even for a human being let alone the google algo. And this is going to get worse day by day.

Are you stupid? You think that some random search engine can pop out from nowhere and be better than google, not to mention yahoo/msn/ask.com and so on... Google is and will be the best search engine ever made, nobody is or are going to "pwn" it, not this century.
their getting bigger and bigger everyday but there are also a lot of changes in their services...some are good and some(or more) are bad...lol!!!
All you seem to think Google is some big bad monster that is growing bigger and bigger. I don't think so... I believe the economic crunch is having an effect on Google and they are having a hard time making sure their algo and everything else is maintained. Already they are understaffed and have to deal with so much spam on the Internet.
