    Hey,

I just put adsense on my site www.layoutsandbeyond.com two days ago... well today i have a had a browser open like all day with adsense on it... I refreshed the page like all day and it didnt really change much... then i clicked off and logged back in an hour after i clicked off the browser and i had 32 clicks... the CTR is the same as the day before... So do the stats not update if you just refresh... or did i get click attacked?

    Thanks,
    BOA

That totally depends on CTR, traffic and the kind of site.

For some pages and topics, 20% CTR plus is normal. For others, 2-3 % is as high as they go.

It will take some time to see where things are with your pages, and then to explore different ways of increasing CTR, such as ad placement, etc.

32 clicks? Google probably won't care. If you get thousands of clicks (unusually high amount for your standards), then yes, Google may do something.

If you suspect a click attack, contact Google immediately. (I think. Anybody want to second this?)

Think about it: Who would waste their time to 'click attack' you? Did you piss someone off today? Recently? If not, then why would you even think a total stranger would choose your site to click attack you? I find these questions so moronic. :(

People target sites sometimes, or do it randomly, and click-attack them to damage their profits and revenue-earning methods. I think your comment towards BOA about finding these questions "moronic" is rather harsh for a newcomer in web development.

Well I apologize if it sounded harsh, but the REAL reason anyone ever click attacks anyone is because they have a personal grudge against them. There is no "randomness" in click attacks.

Doubtful. Click attacks take a lot of work and persistence. If you just sat there clicking away, Google would know and invalid the clicks. To REALLY get someone banned, you would have to space out your click attacks, and that takes time, planning, and patience.
