My question is, is PayPal safe for a merchants like us. We sell high-end laptops ($2000-$3000 each) and need a merchant account that has -Reasonable transaction fees -High monthly limits -Allows merchants to fight against fraud We already do anti-fraud scanning in-house with our current merchant account and have never had a chargeback. If a shipping address is different than a billing address, we call the cardholder's bank to verify the shipping address. Will we be able to do this with PayPal Website Payments Pro? Also, what if we accept payments from unconfirmed PayPal buyers? Would that eliminate any chargeback protection PayPal might offer? And in the event of a chargeback, what options does PayPal give merchants to fight it? We can easily provide invoices and tracking numbers, and we have a 30-day 'no-questions-asked' full refund return policy. Any sane credit card processor should understand that a buyer should simply return a product for a full refund if they are unhappy with it rather than grant a chargeback. I appreciate ANY help we can get on this matter. I have had some tough times with PayPal in the past, and have heard some horrible horror stories from them. I want some assurance that they are safe before I commit our business (and tens of thousands of dollars) to them. Thank you.
The answer is NO. Do not use PayPal to sell laptop period. You will in few days end up to be bankrupt. Their chargeback policy is just open door.
paypal will screw you over at the worst possible time use a different payment processor who are cheaper and safer than paypal
It is my advice to try a good credit card processor for this volume of amount never prefer paypal it really a mess for high volume transaction
