Suggest me Hosting better than Hostgator ! help i am using hostgator for 11 months but now i am facing a lot of problem with this slow hosting as my traffic is increased so my website become very slow now so i want to move my websites from hostgator to new and better host can you please suggest me a better host
While this may be the case, the OP said his traffic has increased, and website is slow. I hate to say it but Dreamhost is another overseller, and compared to HostGator (founded in 2002, so 7 years in), the OP will probably run into the same problems.
Hi, I wanna do you a big favour ok " check out my site first " http://www.make-it-yourself.me.uk 1) its a video site = demanding 2) people upload videos and even in the members area grab videos from youtube ( in the upload area) 3) my videos must play slow ?? NO 4) What about disk space ? starts with 50 GB, free upgrades here is more info Endless DiskSpace starts with 50 GB, free upgrades Data Transfer (Bandwidth) 300 GB per mo.(10 GB per day) Multi-hosted Domains UNLIMITED Domain Parking UNLIMITED Sub-Domains UNLIMITED MySQL Databases UNLIMITED FTP Accounts UNLIMITED Email Accounts UNLIMITED while you are at my site check the banner at the top and change hosts this is not a joke i have my site,s with these guys nearly a year tech support is the best ive ever had in the past 5 years I have the site above running as a addon with another 3 addons and one main site already using about 67.something GB disk space ok and there unlimited does mean unlimited for a change All The Best And Cheaper Than What You Would Pay On HERE Price $5.97/mo.
The reason why HG is getting more unsatisfied client due to their oversell policy. By the way you can try use godaddy hosting.
Get a non overselling host and depending your traffic, maybe get a VPS; non overselling VPSs like vpslime.com are great.
hey..! i like your suggestion and want to buy VPs from A2hosting but i want to ask some question! will my website work better than hostgator in this $14.95 plan?
Name of the game here on DP No one seems to understand; if you pay nothing, you get nothing. It is not possible to offer a non oversold VPS with cpanel/whm for $15/month. Cannot be done at all. If you buy one, you'll be sorry. Sad how people here always want the lowest of the lowest of the lowest (that's how they end up at Hostgator which is find for a 2 visits a day site making nothing though).
Kwaku is correct. The problem isn't hostgator, it's your bandwidth usage. You need to get a good VPS - and you are going to have to pay more than $15 a month. WiredTree or Knownhost are both good VPS hosts, but you are going to have to increase your budget.
Hello, I was using ahosting.biz and really run ok and the customer service is very friendly. Best regards, Jakomo
Ah! Wiredtree.com forgot about them; they are brilliant! Have good experiences with them and vpslime.com ; both have good support, fanatic people and they don't oversell at all. Check this; http://www.webhostingstuff.com/uptime/VPSLime.html and http://www.webhostingstuff.com/company/WiredTree.html.
I had a really terrible time with DomainMonger's own hosting service. Prepaid 3 months and ditched it after less than a week. I signed up with a company called HostMonster, on a recommendation from a friend. I haven't a single complaint about them! Fast enough FTP uploads, web disks available, SSH access, can get a unique IP address. I'd check out their packages at hostmonster.com.
byethost is great, i get unlimited diskspace and bandwith for $2.99 a month, i know its not unlimited really but they have no problems if i want to upload 10gb worth of wallpapers also the support is outstanding.
I have my own dedicated servers for most things I deem important but I pay for it by hosting my clients websites. That said however, I have been using http://www.hostingmetro.com/ for almost 5 years. I pay around 19 a month for a machine I am hosting 10 websites off of for misc. lower tiered clients and some directories I have running. I have unlimited addons which is sort of useful. More noteworthy, I use it as a staging server to develop alot of sites. For reference I can run Magento on it which is very server intensive with out any issues. There support response time is pretty much immediate and they are really friendly( You simply can't beat getting the same 2-3 people on the phone if you call). I think alot of it has to do with the fact that they are not a huge corporate sort of gig. It has never taken them more than an hour to sort something out. It usually only takes a few minutes. I had some sort of issue a few weeks ago with something I was trying to develop and they actually asked me if they need to look at some php for me to help out. That sort of support is frankly unheard of. Most hosting companies will not mess with third party scripts at all unless it is included in fantastico. hope that helps and no I don't work for hosting metro. Nigel
