Has anyone used tmzhosting?

Has anyone used it. I am thinking about using them and I want to know if anyone has good or bad news.

 

The fact that they offer "Unlimited" disk space and bandwidth can be a bad sign unless they have top management and services that can compare to big hosts like HostGator or HostMonster, but even those hosts can cause problems to some clients from time to time.

If you really do need a large amount of disk space and bandwidth, I recommend using a VPS as it is a lot more reliable and secure. If you do not need a great deal of disk space/bandwidth then go for a smaller host that probably won't oversell.

It really depends on what your needs are when it comes to determining if a host is good for you or not.

i just need proxy hosting

 

i use tmz i got it for proxies at first but im now using it for normal hosting. They say unlimteid for both, i emailed thme the other dya asking cna i upload 5gb worth of wallpapers and they said yes so i asked what if my site gets popular do i still get unlim band and they said yes but would appreciate if i upgraded my plan so they cover costs but they said they wouldnt delete my account if i didn't.

@lorddan01 - I dont know where you saw unlimited hosting for proxy plans?

Also if you are thinking of registering for proxy hosting please do so tomorrow as our newest proxy server will be up and you will be placed on it. But as I said above ask around we have many positive reviews.

Sorry lol i got confused, its the hosting i use for my forum which has unlimited, however tmz is still very good and the support is the best ive seen from a hosting provider. Usually they take the money and run, however we felt at one point the hosting wasn't for us so we went to cancel and they offered us a free month which is very generous.

 

I have used tmz before but their support is too slow.It take 2 day to them to reply my email.Now i using wdserver and having a lot of great time using it.And yes,wdserver accept proxy site.

 

That's great communication on both ends (customer and host) Has your site picked up in popularity?

 

Do you have a ticket number I can look at? Every ticket is responded within 3 hours max.

yes they are very good. been with them for 5 months now

-speeds = extremely slow at the moment, though I'm on shared proxy.

Overall: never had any major problems so far & I've been with them since July 2008

 

I never used tmz, but I do use byohosting.com services and just wanted to post here that they are really sick. Don't ever go with byohosting.

 

Did you email support about the slowness? We need to check the server out ASAP. Please PM me your domain so we can look into it.

 

yeah, I submitted a ticket & they said they were going to switch me to a different server which could take about 48 hours. So I cant comment on the speeds yet until its finished...hopefully its faster than before

 

Got it! I just talked to one of my admins and he is working on your transfer right now .

 

I've been using the 'Starter' proxy plan for almost two months now, and the server hasn't went down yet

I recommend them for proxy hosting.

 

an update on the speed issue...

the admin told me some changes were made on the server end and now my site loads quickly now. I'm not sure what was done, but its fixed and everything is back to normal
