Do you think Google would hire an ex-SEO?

Seriously think about this for a minute. Would they?

In all honesty, I bet Yahoo or MSN would hire SEOs before Google would. I know snap and ask would pick them up in a jiffy. Good seos bring a lot of knowledge of the different search engines to the table. And I don't think that is a bad thing at all. But would google accept their baggage?

I don't believe that they would need to hire SEOs at least not white hats, SEs would probably benefit more by hiring black hatters

Good point DK. Why hire those that know the rules and follow them strictly? What are they going to learn from them? Go for those that poke and abuse the industry, they know the weaknesses and can point out overlooked flaws much easier. Its like police who hire crooks just to report whats happening on the streets.

What I would be accepting is insider information that would allow me to make my sites better. And no, they would not know about said sites. So yes, I would love to accept their "baggage".

Yeah, I'm with you on this one, Crazy_Rob. They have already hired SEOs, even if only on a contract basis. They didn't get to be a billion dollar company by being dumb.

psst...think you got that wrong. I was asking if Google would accept your baggage, not if you'd accept theirs. I'd full heartedly welcome any baggage they dumped on me too, as long as it was more than the typical spew they water down for webmasters these days.

Oh snap! You're right, I read that wrong. Well, there's no way Goog would accept my baggage. ;)

lol..why would Google need SEO's? They're the ones who create the algorithm, and they have s many backlinks they don't need it.

I think the single point in this for Google would be to hire some black-hat SEO to see how can they trick their algorithm.. but currently they are already getting many report from WebMasters about spammy sites tricking Google's algorithm.
