m3l1ssh4, this isn't the place for an argument. you got called out for using clipart--accept it. oh, and if you'd like to prove you aren't the only one using clipart on this thread, be my guest. i'll green rep ya for every catch.
the answer is maybe because your giraffe image was display on page 1 in google when you type "girrafe in cartoon" and in my opinion, this is not about afraid with competitor but more to make the contest clean (if you are a CH and spent 100$ get a logo using image same with others and not unique, how do you feel?). i am also learn design myself but i know the rules.
No more posts regarding the clipart, please. I'd like to keep this somewhat clean and organized. I'll have feedback later today, or tomorrow for the new submissions and revamps.
sorry for messing up your contest with this..hope you find the best. there are no royalties up on my work.
i got called out?are you the contest owner?or you're the boss in here? i don't need your green rep by taking others down. Find out yourself if you called yourself a master in here. this one is the last answer for me for such a stupid debate. Thank you. Hope your work is the winner in here, that can make you happy. God bless you.
Just a reminder guys that my clients are in Korea, so feedback will only be posted 1 time per day, usually around 11 - 1am EST, so please don't PM me asking for feedback as I can't give it until they tell me what they think.
Thanks for all the submissions. You guys have really listened to our feedback and we're excited about what our final logo will look like. We tried to leave feedback for everyone. Kamakazi G- The arrow in the U is well balanced with the P, but the font seems a little too jagged and electric as opposed to kid-friendly and educational. The second one doesn't pop for us. dorarpool- Definite improvement. The colors are good and nice and bright. It still falls a bit flat as a corporate brand identity, though. Dakouten- Nice improvement, but the character seems a bit wrong. He looks apathetic and lazy whereas it would be better if he looked eager and jubilant. We definitely like where this is going, though. (Also, maybe try with the character on top or closer to the top of the bars?) IM3D- Very professional. This would be a very strong corporate logo. Can you make it more kid-friendly and educational (maybe add a book or cap and gown to the character) without losing the strong corporate branding? thomas66- Honestly, the first one was better. The colors are all wrong, and the area around the character is confusing. Where is educational? Where is corporate identity? Still like the kid, though. eyqubecreations- The character is awesome, and would be greatly appealing to children, but it doesn't really accomplish the "educational" aspect. We're not sure how this character (which we like a lot) could be made to be part of a corporate educational logo, but that would be cool. The lettering in the second one is better. Strong submission. anjum shaikh- Good efforts, but really not what we're looking for. anidesign- Definitely an improvement and the color scheme is much better. It still doesn't jump out at us, though. saidesign- This one feels kind of jumbled and not educational. The shift with Up to the side is kind of cool. It'd be a good logo for a gym, but doesn't feel right for an educational company. Manuji- First one has too much green (not in the color scheme), second one is not corporate at all. tsoft- Cute and kid-friendly, but it seems to be lacking a strong corporate identity. Indiecorporate- The lettering is pretty cool, it's an interesting concept, but it will be very difficult for Koreans to read. sikka2010- Very clean, Power Up stands out, but it doesn't really show that it's educational. The smiley face looks a bit out of place. Good submission. m3l1ssh4- Appreciate the effort and the step away from clip-art, but it's not really what we're looking for. It's not in the color-scheme we're looking for and not really corporate enough. Thanks for the submission. l3fty- We love this. It's kid-friendly, it pops, it looks like a solid corporate logo. The only thing we're having trouble with is the blue. We like how it looks, but it's not one of our colors. Perhaps try making Up yellow, giving a bit of a white border around the character, and making the blue part black? Or other combinations of color that are all within the color scheme of red, black, and yellow? DylanM- The third one definitely has something to it. Maybe if the circle in that one was a globe so the kids are standing (or even sitting on, reading books or studying) on top of the earth that could be really cool. The second one could be very cool with some of these concepts as well. We like the font for "Up" in the second one. Great submissions. ^_^ MacRulez- These are really strong logos, but we feel they are more suited for activity or extreme sports companies. They are a bit dark and don't really say "educational" to us. Zyndtel- Definitely an improvement. The educational, the kid-friendly, and the strong corporate brand are all here... but it doesn't seem vibrant enough. It needs to "pop." The Article Person - Good job getting away from being too dark. However, I think this new logo goes the opposite route. It's a bit too confusing and the font is too obscure for Koreans with English as a second language. Hipstick- We still like yours, but it's a bit dull compared to some of the new submissions. Can you make it more vibrant? Overall: We're going to pick one that accomplishes all three of these aspects well: Educational, Kid-Friendly, Strong Corporate Identity. We're really pleased with the submissions so far and the improvements being made. Remember, we are in Korea so feedback can only really be expected once a day, tops. Thanks for understanding! I tried to do it with other colours and added some graphic to make it refer to education . Is that better?
Thanks for the fb. Here's other approaches of mine (bookworm as it moves across a book; bookworm graphic could replace the 'w' in power, too): Thanks.
