    Quick question.

I tried to submit my site to google, and they said it was submitted but I cannot find it on the search engine even when I search the URL.

Does it take a few days for the to review a site or is it supposed to be instant?

    Thanks in advance

It needs to be crawled first which can take some time. Submitting isn't all that necessary if you have external links to your site.

    Just gotta be patient.

Yeah it is no longer necessary to submit your website to the major search engines. If you build some backlinks the search engines will find you on their own.

A well written and distributed article can generate huge traffic but easier said than done.

You essentially need an influencer (someone other than yourself) to promote the article to their followers on Twitter, FriendFeed, Digg etc. It may catch fire but so much of it is in the timing and relationships.

A fantastic article without some type of promotion will likely not get much traction. You're looking for a perfect storm.

I'd suggest opening accounts on both Twitter and FriendFeed and build out a network of quality friends. Takes time but those two sites working in tandem are powerful.

For Twitter, you'll likely want a 3rd party app like TweetDeck.

If you have a blog, you can have posts publish to one or both sites automatically. On FriendFeed, you can have just about all of you online activity publish including comments on other blogs, Yelp reviews, Diggs, Flickrs uploads, pretty much you name it.

If the content is interesting, you'll pick up followers.

On Twitter my handle is rbucich, look me up and I'll help get you started

It take some time (about 1 week) for google to crawl your website.
It is better if you submit your article to ezine. It helps you to get indexed in google and it can drive good traffic to your website

Articles should add something to your site, be relevant to your topic and catch the readers' interest. As long as it does those things then yes, it will definitely bring traffic.

Oh yes.. It takes a few days before the site shows up in index.
Submit a sitemap in google and get some backlinks. That will make the indexing process faster.

It takes time. Also submit a sitemap as well. Than google will index it faster.

Submission will not necessarily guarantee your page/site will get indexed in their search engine. Sometimes, the process can be very fast, a matter of weeks while sometimes it could be months. There's a lot of factors that come into play here.
