Where can I use the {KeyWord} variable on an adwords ad? Can I use it just on the title? What about the Description and URL section? Thanks, Jon
I use it in my destination URL. Works fine and is great for tracking. http://www.yoursite.com?keyword={keyword} Good luck, Ty
Are you sure that this work? Are you using it? what do you mean? http://www.yoursite.com?keyword={keyword} or http://www.yoursite.com?keyword={keyword:default} I have tried the last one and it dont work
Yes, I am using this. Use: http://www.yoursite.com?keyword={keyword} Change "www.yoursite.com" to your URL. It takes a while for it to start working. You can then write a server-side script to record what searches are performed by visitors reaching your site via AdWords. Also, check this: http://adwords.blogspot.com/2006/01/track-search-and-content-clicks.html The link then becomes the beautiful: http://www.yoursite.com?keyword={keyword}&type={ifsearch:GoogleAdWordsSearch}{ifcontent:GoogleAdWordsContent} Good luck, Ty
Wow, that's a juicy, fact-filled post there. Those variables, while obviously available publicly on the AdWords blog, are not that easy to find. I had been searching for these guys lately and had no luck. I found {keyword}, but not the others. Thanks!
