How to find the position of a site for a given keyword

Hai all,

is there any mechanism to find my site's gogole search result position with out installing Google Analytics ?

say i have a domain name CricketScores.com
now when some one search for "Cricket Scores", at wich position my site is currently resides?

yah somthing exactly i am looking for,
but that site is a mess. could not find any search box in that. almost every thing are ads. pls give me another decent site.

You could just search your phrase in Google and see if it appears in the results? If not then I might try and make a little php app to do this when I get home later on.

i did not see in the first 10 pages, so keep browsing is a hard choice .
i want to check the positions of few domains newly registred.

You can check your keyword rank on Google.com, just type-in your keyword to google search engine and you can find there what rank is your website.

Frankly, That tool hangs or take too long for a single result, mean time i could complete 5 results in the other page itself.

good no about this tool, looks very valuable

 

With the advent of personalized search and search origination from different geography , search results will be different so essentially, you wont be able to get that data point really well.

However with the use of Google Analytics filters, you can do some tweaking and can get that data when someone clicks on your link !
