This site retains visitors very well. Its traffic is going up tremendously. I have done some article marketing and seod urls for this site. The content was posted by me and is not automatic content. I also added the videos and products in the gear section. I changed the virtuemart code around a little but to make the products affiliate clickable. It also has about 2000 indexed pages in google.

Since when does alexa matter about anything? Look at the traffic stats. There isnt forum activity because I just set it up and havent made any post yet. No one will post in a blank forum.

 

55.000 hits were generated by a single ip 67.18.172.242... as seen in top 25 hosts.
So basically your site has about 25000 hits.. and an average of 20-30 uv daily.. right ?

who ever bought that...sorry for you..thats a rip off. btw. alexa is used in everything. If you dont have an alexa rank and you say you get american traffic. thats B.S and you dont get what you say. Thats how alexa works. My company makes over 400K a month and if you dont have a certain alexa rank your site isnt getting in. So for those of you still on Windows 2.0, Alexa is a new standard.

How has this even become an issue?

Anyone who can read an analytics package can see that yes its reporting 80,000+ HITS, note that's hits not visitors. Its reporting 552 unique visitors (which is the number everybody should be looking at).

In this specific analytics package a hit is classified as a page load / an image load or any other element of a page loading .... i.e 80,000 files have been loaded in January.

Look at the analytics screenshots carefully when buying sites, and most of all, this thread is over and done with so there's no need to be bringing it back. Site sold, buyer and seller is happy so let it be.
