$50 Mascot Design

    Hi DP'ers.

I am looking for a Mascot Design for a website in development.

Although I am a very amateur designer myself, at the moment I don't have time/want this to be a higher quality end product than I can deliver.

    Specification

What I need is a mascot of a student, standing next to a house.

The student should be wearing full graduation gown, including mortar board (hat!) and holding a scroll in their right hand (see this image).

Whilst with its left arm they should be hugging a house (same size) similar to this one maybe: click me for E.g. - obviously without feet/rollerblades etc! should be a normal house, no face.

What I would like is for people to sketch me a design on paper and show me in this thread of via PM. I will then pick the one I like before anyone starts to Ink and colour. The winner can then finish the job and be paid by Paypal.

I reserve the right to end the competition at any time, even if no suitable entries are received.

Sorry if the budget seems small, but the winner will receive future orders.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Redders

Nice entry, but person needs more of a caricature feel and the house needs to be appear more 3D, thanks very much for the entry and please revise if you want.

    Renderwork

Very nice, please make the student more caricature like, the house looks great. Can I see a portfolio of your other work to see an example of your colouring?

    L3fty

Great entry, no changes necessary at the moment.

I'd just like to extend my two sense to the CH as far as PM entries go I think you might get more entries from DP'ers if you DID NOT allow PM entries.

Just a thought; maybe to change or include in your next contest.

Hi , I don't usually post sketches here, this will be the first time. Normally I would go ahead and finish with the nice smooth lines and color and just submit, but I think some people like to see sketches. So I put a little more work into this sketch. If you like I can send you a PM with some of my finished work to show you the coloring and line work I do in the vector software.
    well here is my Graduate!

The student wasn't caricature enough, the face was a bit scary and he doesn't look like he fits against the house.

Seem some good entries but nothing that particularly grabs the eye for me.

Scary ? Hmm, maybe you can show us a sample of some cartoon faces that you like or what you think is caricature , so we know what to work towards ? Then I could redo my student
