true true. Some of my sites just lost PR, some again regained PR. This all happened after the January update.

 

Getting from PR3 to PR4 seems like a big hurdle. I have worked very hard on my singles dating site, followed all the advice but it just wont budge.

 

I feel your pain "hookmeup" (love the name BTW):

My web site was a PR 2 when I discovered DP.

In only 3 months, I was able to reach PR 3 following all the advice.

However, my quest for Page Rank Four (PR 4) was frustrated by over ONE YEAR and two months......waiting......waiting.

There is a canadian site that claims there has been no PR update since January '08.....I was actually starting to believe them!

Finally on December 31, 2008 -- Santa Google gave me my belated Xmas present. (PR 4)

Not sure, but when I crossed the 5,000 link plateau (at Yahoo) and reached the 2,200 External Links at Google Webmaster Tools...at the end of 4th quarter 2008, that seems to be the threshold!

Ironically, AFTER my page rank increase, both my Alexa went down and my YSE link count dropped to 4800 (was nearly 5800 in 4Q '08). Also the GWT External Links has declined to 1,780 (was 2,246).

I'm continuing to build relevant links, using the same anchor text, on a gradual basis. (about 5 "do follow" per day, not counting forum posts & blog comments)

 

My page rank I believe has been updated but I don't see any change in page rank in the Toolbars.

Previously Google webmaster showed all of my pages were either low page ranked or not ranked at all. Now, it shows some of pages are medium ranked. I believe medium rank pages are between 4-7. Any ideas.

yes mine too. thats googles internal pageranking. if pagerank updated tomorrow that would reflect that

 

Can anyone please give me an idea what is went wrong with my website.
I have follow up basic SEO step but the PageRank still zero for long time. It haven't improve at all.
It looks like even the internal link is not list on search engine at all by checking with the tool.

Are you sure ? So it means a good news for both of us ? Also can you please confirm that medium page rank ranges from 4-7 ?

Yea i can get my sites to three easy but 3 to 4 is tough for me

 

I did not get any good result.
But every 3rd or 4th day PR of my site's inside pages changed.

 

I got PR3 for my gfx blog

 

does redirecting a domain(with .htaccess) which has still indexed pages in google to another domain effect on PR ?

Other info:
testing a few months ago .. 8 new domain, only add to high pr blog ( nofollow ) . Result:
80 blog pr6-pr9 = pr6
60 blog pr6-pr8 = pr5
30 blog pr5,6 maybe one pr7 = pr4
10 blog pr6 NOFOLLOW = pr4 !!!
etc..

but site must its clear, only text, h1 title, title and keywords domain name.
anchor links = domain name NOT extension, no subpages and links in site.. One clear site with text and h1 title...

hmm weird formula for getting high PR..everybody seems like to come up with experiment formula on getting specific PR but the truth is only Google knows its secret algorithm on determining PR..

 

you right, but this secret have bugs...

 

nothing is perfect..but at least they have their "secret" own way to determine PR.

 

yaa .. today i lost my pr it now 0 and before it's 3 ..

 

will people (forum owners) lose PR if they submit to my new forum directory?
