Anyone had any experience of ranking for longtail keywords on youtube?

Do Youtube vids go into the sandbox? Any experience appreciated.

I did some keyword videos and I must say they rank pretty well, but it takes time. I took me around 1 month to go top 5 for the low keyword. I also use Google Video ranks well too

Thanks man, what type of competition... E.g. How many results in Google? Did you do just rely on a good video to get views, or did you go a good link building campaign to the video too?

    longtail keywords????? What is that???

I do not understand the exact question about longtail keywords, but I'll try to answer.

Yes, some of my youtube videos rank well in google generic search results. They might take a few weeks or months, but some videos can rank on the first page of google.

I posted a video on youtube with certain keywords in the title. 3 or 4 months later the video was showing up on the first page of google at around # 5 or #6.

From my experience, google ranks youtube videos better then any other video hosting site. A video on Youtube will usually show up before metacafe, dailymotion, yahoo video or break.

You betcha. Especially since Youtube is acquired by Google. If any videos have the possibility of coming up in the search engine results, it's a Youtube vid.

yes, its a nofollow site but search engine also indexes no follow links but doesn't consider them to be backlinks while evaluating PR
