onlyfights: thanks for the entry but it's not what I am looking for. the thumbs up seems to be more of a photo rather than an actual logo icon.

TheAge: now we seem to be getting somewhere. It looks good and so far my favorite along with renderwork. Not asking for changes yet but I think yours would look slightly better if the whole thumb would be inside the box but then again I could be wrong.

moosa: thanks for the entries. #1 I just need the thumb not the whole body though the guy you used looks good. #2 is a touch too cartoonish and I need something a little more corporate, more professional looking #3 looks a little too dull and a little uninspiring. I do like the fact you used a box for the thumbs up. The fonts you used are too 2webish for me and I need something a little more corporate such as the verisign ( http://www.verisign.com/ ), something for all ages rather than targeting a younger audience.

here is my first ever contest entry after 3 months... (first in 2009)

(if a check mark doesnt looks good.. Im designing a thumbs up icon to replace it..)

 

RN: it looks good and thanks for the entry but I am fixed on the idea of having a thumbs up. I think in the end whoever designs the best thumbs up will win it even though the thumbs up icon must also go well with the font so that I end up with a cool logo not just a great thumbs up icon.

Don't need to rush as this will be open for at least another 48hrs.

vebtools: thanks for the entry. I am looking at your thumbs up icon and it looks pleasant but it's still a touch too plain especially when I am comparing it with the top entries so far (TheAge and renderwork). Nevertheless it is a pleasant looking one.

sorry moosa but not going in the right direction. They look more like clipart to me and that is why I am giving everyone TheAge and renders as an example so you get an idea of what I am after.

vebtools: definitely an improvement and definitely getting better but only just. I still think the thumbs up icon can be developed/stylised a little more.
