Should I sue Google?

Google mailed me today and banned me from Adsense for invalid clicks with no further explanation. They mention that my site posed a risk to the advertisers. I am certain, no one that I know has done this. I spend a lot of time understanding this and acquired websites and spent money. I am completely planning to sue their asses down to the ground. Its not about money but concealing information. They have all my bank account information and what not and haven't provided one bit of information about what they will do about it. They claim to not pay me my outstanding balance. This is clearly taking advantage of monopoly. Absolutely disgusting way to conduct business. There is no explanation except two words - Invalid Clicks.

    Should I sue Google?

I understand your pain, but what exactly is your claim? The terms of service say that they can pretty much do what they did to you. So you'd be fighting an uphill battle against a giant.

Realistically, what do you expect to happen?

If you really have a good story, it's better to write about it in a compelling manner, then slowly get the press to cover your "news".

What I'm saying is that the court of public opinion is more powerful than the courthouse. But it only works if your story is rock-solid.

If you ask me, Google doesn't do it on its own. If you have invalid clicks, then you probably had invalid clicks. Simple as that. No point in sueing since you already agreed to there TOS.

We never think when we agree to these agreements. I am sure there 1000 page long agreement will protect their behind. I just feel insulted and feel that a lot of my time has been wasted into this crap! I don't think I will take them to court for this, because my time is more important towards my main career but I surely do feel bad about this. If Google reps come here, Shame on you and your Company!!!

I had similar situation, they said i had invalid clicks "because it didn't convert well for our advertisers".
Have you ever got a refund from adwords when the clicks didn't convert well for you?:)
That's total BS, they just pocketed the money, that's it.

They absolutely do pocket the money and If I hired a top notch lawyer and got into it. I can certainly bring their lame behind down. Its just extremely unfortunate that my frustration will just remain that. Suing google and going to media will distract me from my current affairs which hold of more value to me than Google.

Did you actually spend the time to read the terms of service and program policies when you signed up? It's long, but not nearly 1000 pages, and the statement that they can cancel your account at any time is in the first paragraph:
    https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=48182
(And did the email say that the reason was "invalid clicks" explicitly, or just that your account was a "risk to the advertisers". I believe the latter usually means that there was some other ToS violation, such as forbidden content on your site. You need to be really clear on what Google thinks the problem with your site is if you want to appeal.

Wow, DP is a strong community, Everyone comes out immediately to help/suggest!! Thanks for that. Nonny, my initial post was out of frustration. No, I didn't read the agreement, however being a billion dollar company, I am sure they protected themselves. I will however contact them to get rid of any and every account or confidential information they hold. I am myself, no longer interested in conducting any business with them. Its a clear Slavery.

You are going to sue Google. Seriously what do you think will happen to the case? You are just a small fish compared to Google. I doubt that the law will take it seriously.

You aren't the only one that got invalid clicks. If Google thinks that you got some invalid clicks then it might be because you have one.

In my opinion, you shouldn't. Just go for another program like adbrite, bidvertiser, etc.

Rofl sueing Google, what a joke.

And what if "Invalid Clicks" is a good enough explanation? What if their computer system picked up that someone was spamming Google Ads on your site and banned you? That's called WASTING TRAFFIC, and you're ripping on advertisers like me, so I've got one message for you - get off Adsense if you're going to waste traffic!. Computers don't lie mate, someone clicked your ads multiple times ON PURPOSE.

Anyway, I suggest getting into affiliate marketing since you're banned from that. Much more profitable than shitty old adsense anyway.

Google is smart enough. If you really go through the Adsense term and regulation, it stated that they have right to stop the publisher if they think the publisher is posed a risk to the advertisers.
