I see that there are quite a few complaints about AdSense. My experience so far is relatively good, I started my site about 6-7 days ago and I am earning a constant $1-$3 per day. At this rate, it will pay for the hosting and a free lance webdesigner I hired for a few projects. Just letting people know that making a few bucks on AdSense is not to difficult at all, just have a little patience and pick a niche you take interest in. Don't pick a niche just because it has high paying keywords, your going to hate working on your site and it will lose its potential growth rate.
Alright MOD's please don't give me an infraction, for some reason my edit button is not directing me to any new page. Adding onto the previous post: My goal is now to earn $10-$20 a day I hope to achieve this by March 1st Will keep you guys updated.
Oh no! Is that true? I am very not familiar with that guys because for my simple blogging, I didn't receive any bucks from google adsense. How sad...
How did you manage to bring in the traffic in just 7 days? Most people rely on the Google SERPS and even this takes time to get rankings. An average of your daily rate would be $2 (which could be 15 clicks), 5% CTR =300 daily impressions. Around let's say 200 (ish) uniques every day across the first week without rankings; that's pretty damn good. What did you use? Adwords, social bookmarking, other blog promotion?? If you are telling the truth then you're onto a winner.
I also did well in the first couple of weeks as Google ranked me nice and high in the SERPs based on my on-site SEO. Then the honeymoon was over and I dropped way down in the rankings (some call it the sandbox). About 4 months later I was back up in the rankings but not where I was in those first couple of weeks. I am now slowly working my way onto page 1 for some of my desired keywords. Don't just sit back and expect the good start to continue. Make sure you keep adding strong and relevant content and build relevant backlinks from trusted sites. Good luck!
It all depends on your goals for what you are doing and the ROI you want in return. Adsense is NOT a big money maker for the vast majority, but it's also extremely easy to implement. It's all about ROI.
Cappa, Many had responded to your posts but you have yet to say anything. Are you sure that you are making "$1-$3 per day" in your first week?
The adsense earning will be up and down at the beginning. After some time, the earning will be quite stable. You have a great start, keep working out on it and you will able to achieve your goal
To earn something through adsense in daily and it is in short time is very good for you. Try to increase your earning now.
Traffic was brought in by a couple of dedicated friends, this niche I'm in is quite popular where I am located. Especially since I am still in college, social networking is easy and word travels fast by mouth. I would say what my specific niche is but I don't want to see 100 new blogs up tomorrow. What I did notice is that when people pick a specific topic to elaborate about it is too general. Like if your blogging about computers, I would only blog about video graphic cards. If your blogging about technology in general, I would pick cell phones or flat screen T.V.'s. I have been getting anywhere between 50-800 impressions per day. I hit 800 yesterday, today however has been somewhat a disappointment I only hit a $1.00. I DO NOT USE ADWORDS. I was a huge fan of adwords back then, I am not anymore. Social book marking is huge, this for me I believe is the most helpful tool on the web.
Get into a niche you love to write about or hear about. Make sure your niche isn't to general. See if you have a general niche, you better have a large set audience already. To start from nothing like me & to have a very vague or general niche is a no no.
Cappa, Not necessary to post screen shot. What is necessary is not to anger G. I'm talking from my own nasty experience. I had one site getting 5,000 unique hits per day with big Adsense income. One day big G emailed me that adsense ads would no longer be served for that site without any specific reasons given. I believed because the 1st Adsense ads block was immediately below the headings. Fortunately my account was not closed. My income dropped by 90%. One year had passed and I have yet to recover. I may appear to be nasty you but please be assured that I mean no harm.
Oh I do not take offense to any posts easily so no biggy. I just started using ad sense and it would if I were to get banned at any point. I will post again of my progress by the end of this month, I will keep you guys updated.
