Anyone tried hiring link building services

Has anyone tried hiring any company or freelancer to build one way links.

Not interested in directory submissions as I have that covered. One way contextual links, press releases, article marketing etc.

Any experience/reviews? Did your traffic get a boost?

I am interested in this as well. We pay freelance writers to write articles for us and we are satisfied with what we get for the price. This saves us a lot of time.

Now we are also trying to find freelancers to do link building. So far the offers I have received seem be quite economical. I'm thinking this would be a very good strategy, but it all comes down to finding the right individuals to do the work. Freelancers are hit or miss. Either they do great work or you have to double check every single thing they do.

I think you are right, it's all in how well you know your guy. If you have a trustworthy service, it would work great. What is the going cost on this type of freelancing?

I tried a link building service a few years ago. I did get a slightly higher PR briefly, but in the end it damaged my PR more than anything (Google does not support link farms - where most they links comes from).

The best thing to do, is to have good content.

If you do this, I would suggest that you go with a very reputable company. Make sure they don't spam your url over the entire internet. I have experienced this first hand. I hired a guy last year to do some link building and it turns out that he simply spammed blogs (my site is now banned from Akismet), submitted to thousands of crappy directories, and used blog farms to increase my link count.

You get another chance with Akismet. Get unbanned. Just explain your situation and you should be fine.

I don't have any experience yet but I am thinking of hiring someone this June.

Maybe I could share my experience when I'm done with it.

Well i do believe that directory submission is very good process. There are lots of my clients who are very much impressed with directory submissions and they order me on regular basis.

Even i do follow directory submission as link building strategy for my sites and you wont believe but i have brought one of my health site on # 1 page for the term "health tips" only with directory submissions.

It just depends on how you carry on the submission task and what approval ratio you receive, in my case i wont order anyone who says i can do xxxx submission for 2$ or 5$, they all are using bots or automated softwares and cheats you in the name of manual submission.

    I agree,

Directory submission completely depend on your way of submission.
If you have well optimized submission details than you can get more better response than expect.

And about charge if someone offer you 1000 submission for $2 to $5 then you can think what he will do because manually it will take about 2 to 3 days in speed mode.

I will also not consider for this types of offers.

Because i hate name of auto in SEO world.

    Thanks

I still swear by directory submission services, they work well for me. I haven't tried companies or freelancers although that would certainly be an interesting thing to try out.

I don't need directory submissions. I need quality one way links. I don't want all my backlinks coming from free directories.

It's hard to hire someone to build links, unless you pay way too much or you pay them based on results.

Does Press Release submission work? I have never use it, but on this topic it gets mentioned a lot.

You have to ask yourself how exactly the person you hire is going to achieve their objective. Where are they going to find good quality websites willing to link to your site with nothing in return? Are you willing to pay for the link placements? If you only want article submissions, you will obviously have to pay for the article writer's service.

I am working on a list of "dofollow" article submission sites at the moment. I will post it when I have a nice set.
