Hey, I am just wondering if anyone has had any similar experiences. Ive had this certain site up now since the start of this month, it has 3 high PR links pointing to it, and awstats shows that googlebot has visited it 14,000 times (just this month). Yet it still does not appear in google when I do a site: query. Most sites that I have created end up in the index in a matter of days, what is going on?? Any ideas? Pete
Theres def nothing indexed because ive gotten 0 visitors from google. I have adsense on the site too, so really it should all work.
Google Bot has started crawling your pages, you shouldn't expect the results to appear quickly in the serps. As you have mentioned, you site is still new and it will take some time before it is included in the index.
Google bot and media-partners (adsense) bot are two different bots from Google. It doesn't matter if you have adsense on the site or not.
Recently google started using just one bot for adsense and its organic rankings. Its probably just checking your site for adsense reasons rather than doing 14,000 spiders for the serps.
I think one of the reasons it is different to my other sites is because the site I am talking about is american, whereas all my others are british, and they all took less time to index. From what i hear the european google algorithm is not as up to date as the american, so that is why it indexes slower. So u guys recon it will take longer than a month probably to appear in G?
I have never heard of different Google algorithms for different countries. I believe that it's still not out of the sandbox, generally it takes more time than what you have already expected.
The algorithms are exactly the same everywhere. Also its nothing to do with the sandbox. Are you 100% sure the site isn't indexed? What happens when you type your domain into google?
Nonsense. You're certainly welcome to keep the URL private. Just don't expect a whole lotta help. The site: operator has not been functioning properly. Doing a search for the URL has not been functioning as it should either. Let's see if there's anything I can see... Nope. I see nothing... literally. Dave
My experiment,a PR 5+ homepage( ≤2 outbound links )link generally can make you indexed in two or three days.
you didn't give you URL so it's annoying that people can't figure if it's really not indexed. so I guess. I don't know either why. Usaully it will be index within a month or you site has been banned.
The fact that you would say that shows that you don't know what indexed means. What's the url? -Michael
OK, fair enough that was silly, but the nature of this site meant that i probably would have gotten at least a few hits from google some pages are indexed. Ok, here is the site address: www. lawyers-list .com
