There are online univeristies/programs that are legit. You can search the site in my signature, Distance-Educator.com to get reliable, valid info about learning online. I've reviewed the site in you're post, I've never heard of them and I have been in this field for 10 years. I suggest you do a bit more homework -- and if your brother wants to get an education then my suggestion would be to start off at a local community college. They often offer online courses so your brother could take a combination of courses depending on what meets his needs. Additionally, most traditional universites/colleges currently offer online programs/degrees and can't go wrong with them because you know they are on the up-and-up. Good luck in your search -- Vanessa
I wouldn't recommend using online courses, they stink. Instead go to reliable businesses such as Skills Train (which my brother is using) or tell your brother to go to university!
OK, I went to Burger King a lot during my freshman year, and I can tell you that it was managed by an 80 year old guy that had no teeth, smoked meth and had absolutely NO degree (high school or college)
Not all people learn the same way and distance learning i.e., online learning is a chance for some people to get an education. It is an option for some and if someone takes the courses through a reputable organization then there is no reason why elearning or online courses should not be an option. Your blanket statement 'they stink' is bad advice.
No, my point is this entire thread is crappy spam, and his sob story about his brother getting promoted to the manager of Burger King and needing a degree is one of the funniest things I have heard in quite awhile.
I think the problem with this thread is that there is a big difference between online courses and buying your degree online. Online courses are completely legitimate, and are offered by all major universities. On the other hand, the link provided by the thread starter is to a site that sells a "degree" for a fee of $499, which is obviously worthless and could be created by anyone with a printer.
If it would be spam, it would be a really stupid spammer; "Please visit this website because this website because is so crappy that I do not know whether it is legimate or not"
