I'm not saying i dont like it, it's just unprofessional to post for a service using the topic like you did, be professional, not gain for pity from others. I dont want to mess you thread, so i wont post another, but I also got stuff to pay, btw, good luck.

I found a few jobs from this thread so far, and at least I will have some money to put towards my car loan this month.

I am working on my new productions compant site www.nanofied.com I will have a portfolio up there asap. I am really good with photoshop, forums, and coding in particular, but the only thing I dont know is complex php and other advanced codings.

For example... one project I just picked up today is one to clise a photoshop site and code it for the person. I also am using css styling for him.

As for you tommy... I hope your right.

I got a Civic hatchback waiting at the dealership for me, and I would hate to see it go because I lost my $5.15 an hour job. Lmao minimum wage pre-college jobs suck.

They didnt even give me a reason... my guess is they are loosing money and had to let me (there newest employee) go. Oh well, not like I cant find another minimum wage job lol. You think with honor roll, I could get something that paid better.

If you can't 'figure' how to make more than minimum wage (and older than 14), maybe losing your job was bad.

Go back to being a lemming. Stay out becoming self-employed. :D

Sounds contradictory to me. If it's any wage (minimum or otherwise), then you're not self-employed.

It's hard for teens to find jobs like when I was a kid. Back then, we could work anywhere and sometimes for more then min wage.

Today though, more people can't live on retirement, so they work. Instead of seeing teen grocery baggers, you see retired older folks. Sixty years of age or more often. Kids can't get jobs. I won't even get into the quality of kids coming out of our schools beyond saying it's sad. Who wants to hire most of them anyway? Mexicans are just as hard to talk to, but actually work. Opps, I'm going off here.

But for the kids that actually try hard, it's rough out there to pick up pocket money without being treated like crap if they find work at all.

Pizza or any delivery with gas prices the way they are has to be a lose lose for the driver and the restaurant.

Anywho, good for you for trying hard, not being affraid to be honest, and not living off someone else's back. I commend any sincere effort to provide self support.

Here in oregon the min wage is 7.50 or 8 an hour, my son goes out after graduating a year early and gets a construction job at 10. (I had him working for me part time doing html pages for a few months)

He also had a job offer at a coffee shop that has tips beside the 7.50 hr rate. This is in southern oregon where "there are no jobs"

As a kid I never had lack of jobs or work, even when moving from state to state. I even worked for burger king for about 2 months when a job offer ended up being a lie and I had quit my other job for it.

Min wage when I first started was $3/hr - gas was $1 gal and insurance was over $100 mo - clean driving record!
