Everyone, I want to create a master internet marketing plan for beginners. Let's see if we can add to what I put to make a master thread. 1.) Make sure website is search engine optimized for Google and other organic searches. -use meta tags -use quality keywords -use img alt tags -use descriptive urls (to name a few) 2.) Have dynamic content. You will never receive organic traffic if your content isn't deemed worthy enough for the search engines. You will also lose word of mouth or repeat visits if your content isn't liked by your viewing audiences. 3.) Submit your content to a few web directories that have been around and will stay around for a while (I suggest 5 with dmoz, yahoo being the top 2) 4.) Submit a few articles to 5-10 social bookmarking websites (i.e. stumbleupon, delicious, digg, etc..) 5.) Use PPC ads if you think your return will be greater than your advertising costs. 6.) Create accounts for HubPages and Squidoo and create related content pages. 7.) Post messages on a few related blogs each day. Put approximately one link for every five posts you make. Make sure your posts make you look like an expert in the field. Make friends with fellow posters. 8.) Create a group on facebook (or other social networking websites) and invite personal friends to join the group. 9.) Create an opt-in email list on your website and do not email your list more than once every two weeks - unless you have a newsletter that your readers will want to read everyday - this is usually rare. 10.) Register with twitter and create your profile to be perceived as an expert in your website's niche. Create a link on your website to follow you on Twitter, and this will be an easy way to keep in touch with users. Also, potential users who are interested in the field may find and follow you on Twitter as well. I just started this off the top of my head. I'm new to the digital point forums, and I have already learned so much. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to edit posts, but I'll try to stay with this post and add other useful replies to create a master list. Cheers! Robert M. Cavezza Cavezza Holdings LLC
its a good list but the complete one I think it is lacking a few like mastering your target market that's a huge one
11. Advertise (advertise both off and online), buy traffic. Period. Next to word of mouth, advertising is the only real way to get a lot of consistent traffic without a high bounce rate. If you want to make money, you have to spend it. Create ads to be placed in other webmasters' sites, but get them, along with your site, critiqued first.
Show your url that you are consistently making money with. And I am talking enough to pay some or all of the bills with. Not to go to McDonalds with every now and then to buy a Happy Meal.
