$30/Year Hosting - 99% Uptime - Cheap/Affordable

Yes Imran is really working hard to restore all the accounts - he restored my account promptly - I have to appreciate the service !

I have hosting with Funforums also (although my account is missing right now) - Was very happy to get hosted with him for the price and actually purchased 2 accounts. Service was great for a month and then I continued
to have constant downtime - so I decided to have an independent monitoring service. This is the last month I had this particular site hosted on his servers

My Downtime report For Dec 1, 2008 - Jan 2009.

With this much downtime It was costing me money. I had to move my sites to reseller hosting I purchased.
If you're a regular person who isn't into SEO, eCommerce, or anything that will have more than 100 visitors a month to your site FunForums services would be great for you. In my case - it was hurting my sites.

 

Well I don't know from which tool you monitor your site, We've paid for year for hyperspin to monitor our network which is publicly available to everyone. We are not getting 3-5 hours downtime daily, our monitor service is available to see.

Can you tell me more info/details such as PHP versions etc etc? I am going run a forum and don't want to make a wrong purchase which will lock me for a year! unless you'll let me test it or do a moneyback for me (not that I don't trust you).

It is available. We are using 5.2.8 PHP Version (be more specific, what is etc etc). Well it's simple your choice, You will find the host here which will offer Unmetered hosting for $5-10/year, You can see my this thread as well for reviews and see the date, I was selling hosting for like 2 years before, I got this big downtime first ever in my life and I worked like unlimited hours to recover the accounts asap, And I did my best and recovered.

I've over 150 clients alone from DP, If they choose me so it means they lock for a year? No, because they feel that I am providing cheap and affordable service, Every host can get this kinda downtime, But we got this big downtime after 2 years, and that's because of our HARD DISK Failure!

What happen to my site now? look like i never install anything there. Now it point to wordpress installation. Hope you can restore back my site there.

 

Review

I was happy with ModernForums hosting until the downtime started occurring. At first, it was just a few hours, which was okay. Then, it started happening a lot more frequently which was hurting all of my hard work that was put into the sites. After being down for 5 days, I get the site back up by Imran for only 1 day before going down again.
The customer support is mediocre as Imran expects the client to understand instead of the other way around.
Because I asked for a refund, (which I only received partial) my account was terminated without a chance to save my files.
I was planning on selling a couple of my sites, but now this has set it all off course. I don't recommend this service to those who need stability.

A few days I ago, I asked for his services and he replied me pretty quick and then I asked again with a different question and he replied me with a "Pay Now" form! I didn't remember saying I was ready because I had problem with my paypal account and now after finish talking to a PayPal agent I came back to buy his service and asked for a special custom plan but didn't get any replies. I thought he must be sleeping or offline.

I might consider other services.

I got your message when we got the server crash that is on 21-22nd January, and you said that you are facing the problem for long time? Shame man, I've refund you partial?.. Your account created on October 2007 and I've refund you on 1st Feb 2009 ($7) and you paid $10, You used the hosting for around 4 months, and I cut $3. is this partial? c'mon man, Please man don't lie, It will create the problems only for you, not for me.

Man the payment form is copy/pasted, I got lot of request of accounts so I can't tell them my payment details one by one so I copy/paste it everytime if anybody ask me about the payment details.

You asked that you want to host 1500 members of vbulletin forum, Is that ok? I said yep it will be fine and I give you the payment details, Where am wrong?let me know.

Well i just feel bad because people don't see 100's of good reviews to choose the hosting from, if anybody give a bad review to get the revenge or something, they came with dozens of questions.. but I don't mind, I called my oldest client to post their reviews since the date they host their sites on my server, maybe then you will find me the cheapest and reliable host here, I admit that we got the big downtime like 5 days, but it happen after 2 years and because of hardware failure, but we worked really very hard to get restore the 350 accounts and 250gb of data.

Well if you talk about this plan, Yea people didn't use the full space yet, but they have 3GB and we not oversell but 60-70% of the clients upgrade their plans from Plan A to this
