Small confusion

    HI ALL

    I have a site with the"html" extension and PR5 and if i change the extension and if i put the redirection form old pages to new pages would PR go or will remain same.

    if you change the extension to something else. But make sure you 301 redirect the old versions to the new, then yes, your PR should remain the same.

    but without backlink to support, does the PR still can remain?

    It will likely return to it's old PR over a period of time.

    a 301 permanent redirect should do the trick - HOWEVER, I'd be VERY wary about jeopardizing a PR 5 page!

    PR & rankings may drop, but with a 301 redirect will come back over time.
    Ensure you use a 301 Permanent redirect....

    you must want to redirect your old page to new page with 301 redirect. but in this time you will see many changes in your SERP and also PR. and many thing affect so you want to just wait for back to your back position.

    you will witness the temporary drop in SERP as well as the PR. SERP will be reinstated as have seen it but not sure about the PR thing
