"The Soldier"

Complements to whoever wrote this:

A United States Soldier was attending some college courses between assignments. He had completed missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist and a member of the ACLU.

One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, "God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you exactly 15 minutes." The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes wentby and the professor proclaimed, "Here I am God. I'm still waiting." It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Soldier got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold. The Soldier went back to his seat and sat there, silently. The other students were shocked and stunned and sat there looking on in silence. The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the Soldier and asked, "What's the matter with you? Why did you do that?"

The Soldier calmly replied, "God was too busy today protecting America's soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid stuff like that and act like an idiot. So, He sent me."

 

Too funny! Wouldn't surprise me if it were true either. God knows wacademia is filled with moonbats that "couldn't" so they teach.

I'll have to pass that on to my son. He joined the Air Force on Monday!

Gtech, were you actually in the AF? I didn't notice your tagline till he just pointed it out. I have a question on your expert opinion on this video... real or faked in some way? Or do you see a logical explanation? And please don't say it's faked because it's unthinkable, I'm looking for a technical opinion here, not an emotional one.

Thanks, sometimes arguing with Republicans actually makes me feel smarter than I really am. I need the occasional dumb mistake.

I said nothing of the sort, although I have no clue why you feel the need to say everyone else isn't as partiotic as you. I get the feeling you are trying to overcompensate for shortcomings.

This "sell out your country" thing is getting old, you need some new talking points. Please use the term "cut n' run" from now on to freshen up the threads.

Didn't suggest you did say it, I thought it was quite common for angry liberals to shout out "fascist nazi" when someone doesn't agree with their lies. I've made no comparison to anyone's patriotism. Why would I need to? It's clear who supports America here and who doesn't. I'm aware that some are ashamed and aware that some are proud.

Maybe I should sell my country out and join the crowd? Seems popular and fashionable to do these days. Nah, won't ever happen!
