I heard shoemoney use the term, and would like to know what it means. He didn't mean get nuked as in have people that are jelous of you DDos your site, or report you for ads, forum licenses etc.. He ment getting nuked in SERP's. How could you get "nuked" by posting a link to your site on a forum like Digitalpoint?

I've never heard of this term used in this way before. Can you provide more of the context in which he used the term?

nuked = removed from the search engine index.

Many times on our radio shows and blogs when we talk about a site you will see it dissapear from the search engine index. Its 1 of many reason I never like to discuss my sites in public.

Related to digitalpoint.... people often post titles to there posts that will show up high in the search engines. Google and Yahoo hate to look dumb and also never want people to sell sites soley based on PR rank or search terms ranks and there for IMO when you sell a site in public you should only give out the url in private.

This is just from my experience.

but basically again nuked just means gone from search engines.

Thanks, Shoemoney, for the explanation. I understood that it meant being deindexed, but I didn't understand why. Now I do. :)

We are Google. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile... ;)
