Hi - not a bad idea - but it truly is lacking in the eye candy department

    1. Move the tell a friend over to the right -
    2. Banner need sto be replaced - go to rentacoder.com and have someoen redo it for $10 to $40
    3. throw in some video content you have more than enough space.
    4. place google ads on a line at the bottom - they are eating more space than necessary
    5. get some form of contact right there on the right - you have all that space.... something like "Want to make this amount in less time - click here....

    Hope this helps,

    Nick

This is a nice idea - I read your blog on how you don't like Social Media but I seriously recommend you add your site to StumbleUpon, but only after "building a network" because unique sites like yours tend to get very popular on Stumble especially.

PM me once (or if) you add it, I'd be happy to give it a thumbs up :)

I like the site - open and honest. It made me stop and click the links because I wanted to know more. A quick way to tell a friend would be great. I put it on reddit.

Sorry Redhat for delayed feedback. Yes it is automated. I just need to make a couple of entries into a database everyday and then a script does the rest.

I struggled with the domain name a long time. There is pro and cons. But in the end I decieded on the long name. It was a toss up which ended up heads.

Thanks for the advise. I realise that the site is not too graphical. But for now I want it to be all me. And I can't do graphics. Maybe once it makes more money I will invest some into graphics touchups.

Regarding video content. I have absolutly no idea what kind of video I can make. The only one I can think of now is a video of me begging for more visitors.

Yes there is alot of empty space on the website. But since it is a growing thing. I have left room for the future. Affilliate links, video, donations button :)

Thank you for your offer. I might add it to Stumple some day. But for now I need to wait for my 'Social Media' post to be lost in the archives otherwise it would be very hippocrytical of me.

...Ah what the hell...I'll go add it now...

Today after lunch I checked my website traffic stats - expecting the usual 3 new visitors. My eyeballs almost fell out of their sockets when I saw 80 new visitors. Thanks for adding it to reddit. Most traffic I have ever had in a single day.

I liked it too. I find the concept very interesting and almost interactive. Like a good painting though, your eye knows where to start and then is drawn into the picture down an intriguing path. You have a lot of information there, but it doesn't pull me in completely.

Not sure if it's graphics, or layout, but I think you could 'grab' us a little more yet, and really draw us in.

The idea is really awesome. I wish I would have thought of that before you lol. I'll make sure to come back in a month and see your profits ;)

I have nothing bad to say about the design either... the only bad thing could be your domain name which is too long like others have said, too.

    Hello All,

I have a website and blog. First I started the website and then decided to compliment the website with a blog. The blog discusses the website.

Because of the recommendations from this forum I decided to use the WordPress blog. It was easy to install and use. Very happy with it.

But it soon began to bother me that the blog was separate from the website. By clicking on the Blog link you would be taken away from the website. And the blog looked different then the website – I like consistency.

So a week ago I decided to try to embed the Wordpress blog into the website. I did a few searches on Google and found some information. The problem is that every blog and website is different so there is no one way to embed a wordpress blog into a website. You simply have to play.

So I played. Played for few days straight. At first there was patience, but then the head rubbing began. That was followed by shouting which quickly turned into tears. But finally, after many trials and tribulations, laugher. It is complete.

Looking back, it was not that bad. If I had to do it again I could probably do it in 4 hours. Of course, for my website only. Any other website, or even the slightest variation on my website would bring it back to 3 days.

But I did learn a lot. If anybody is thinking of doing the same then let me know. I can at least point you in the right direction and get you started.

I like the idea. The 249 hours worked and only six backlinks is killing me though. I would work on marketing now.

@camp185. The website is basicly done. Just a few updates now and then. Those hours are now behind me.

You are right. Now I need to do marketing. Thats the hard part. If you build it they will not come. You need to go out and get them.
