I have 30 million email addresses. Now what?

My boss closed down his business. He has 30 million US email addresses (hotmail, yahoo, gmail, bell south). Emails are all in .txt files. They all agreed to receive advertisements from third party companies.

Anybody knows how much 30 million emails are worth in case we want to sell them?

Also,if anybody can help us make profit with our emails, we will share the revenue.

This sounds very much as a spam list. Honest email list that have agreed on receiving certain messages DONT EXIST.

Expecially not in the amount of 30 million.

First thing that you can do with this list is to run all emails through an email verifier program and weed out the dead emails from this list. By doing this process you'll see that your email list size would be considerably reduced.

Secondly make some different squeeze pages on various free offers and send email to verified addresses, and see how many optin for your free offers. As a result you'll have fresh new lists in various niches in your hand plus you'll know which list is interested in what and then you can promote them related products or make your own product and promote it to them.

All that I have told you above is from my personal experience because a year earlier I had come across a package of emails given by Cody Maya, and that package contained 35000 email addresses, and I don't know how Cody had gathered them. Any way I tested that email list of 35000 addresses by the above given methods and as result of the testing that initial list shrank to just 6000 verified addresses and out of those 6000 addresses, I have now 3300 and this list of 3300 is very responsive to some of my products that I promote to them in affiliate marketing in various non IM niches.

    Hope this helps.

    "Closed down his business"?

What sort of a business has 30 million emails stored? Especially of non-business contacts?

Use the list to help the appropriate authorities to deal with your boss. I would not hesitate to dob in a spammer. They are some of the lowest of the low life and very, very few are even making a living out of it. They are just extremely annoying parasites.

Dispose of the list, or keep it for future USE, not SPAM.

Spam is internet hell, just don't go there..

    Thanks for your reply.

This is exactly what we had in mind but unfortunately we cannot send mass emails anymore.

We deal with big companies like cash4gold, shamwow, ecards etc... The reason why this companies deal with us is because we are able send our emails in INBOX. They send us their subscriber lists in .txt files along with the advertisments and we email.

One of the reasons we get INBOX and not junk is because most of the emails are Hotmail (my company has about 30% of hotmail email in the US). And we have someone at Microsoft who tells us how to bypass Hotmail's filter.

One of the many tricks to bypass hotmail's filter is to constantly change your ip. We use about 200 IPs to send 1.000.000 emails. Although the people on the lists agreed to receive advertisements, some of them still flag out our emails as spam and our IP's end up being blocked by Hotmail after a while.

Just to give you an idea of how much e-mailing we do. We went to a few dozen B Class IP Blocks in the last 6 months, which is about 1 million IPs. You can send 5000 emails with 1 ip so you do the math.

As I previously mentioned, these IPs got blocked. However, hotmail will unblock the IPs after a while (several weeks or months later) because they don't have what it takes to storage that much data.

What we need to do is go to through that big list of about 1 mil. Ips and see which ones are not blocked anymore. This is a long and tedious process, and this is why we are looking for alternatives.

If you guys have a suggestion for us, please let me know.

Please send spam my way - I'm sure after the first 1000 emails to other gmail users you will automatically get tagged for spamming and it'll just hit my spam box anyways.

Newsletters - fine, personal emails - fine

    Spam - No Thanks!
