Well I stumbled unto what I could easily call a goldmine a highly indexed high pr edu blog and the comments are do-follow and each post has an internal PR of 6 or less. So I am wondering what type of strength these comments will have on my PR and backlink? Do they count as a PR6 backlink or something else? thank you
Yes, PR6 DoFollow links count as a PR6 backlink The problem is if they don't like your site you wont be able to make a lot of comments (backlinks). In my experience most high PR blogs are heavily moderated and won't tolerate link building.
If they are truly do follow...you'll get the PR juice. How did you come upon these links if I may ask?
I was just researching something for school and it was a .edu blog with the information I needed I looked at the comment and saw people posting a comment and then their link with anchor text and luckily I have the NoDoFollow plugin for firefox and saw that they were dofollow and the best part is that the blog isn't moderated so you can just post comment after comment
Actually if you wanna increasing you PR, you'll feel hard to do that with commenting on dofollow blog...
First thing you should do is PM it to me Actually I'd just suggest you be careful on your comments. Limit your anchor text to a real name and avoid linking to a strong sales type page. You may even want to try just linking to an 'about me' type page. If that works than get a little more aggressive. Good luck!
any blog with high PR, that have too much comment, it's pages will get high PR too, but the best links will be the first comment, Google give importance to the forst links on the page
Yes, as Nancyjons mentioned, it may be difficult to see much of a benefit if the page has hundreds of other backlinks. However, if the blog is still in use, why not subscribe to the blog and make sure to post one of the first comments on new blog posts? The PR of the new posts will increase over time but you'll always be at the top.
thanks guys I'll be sure to do that I actually found some older posts on the same blog PR 4+ with no comments
It's the pr of the page that matters. And when you find these things post and test. When you share you dilute and ruin your own opportunity. The easy way to find these type of links is by using sofware tools designed to match keywords with blogs. Finding them on your own is a lot of work.
Why would he do that, and ruin a completely good source of high PR backlinks when everyone here starts to spam the hell out of it. If you really want to find it it's not that difficult.
Look like they removed the comments section from that blog...there was a ton of spamming going on there so it was just a matter of time. Hope you got some links in before it went away.
do follow commenting is a quite risky thing to do coz the owner may chnage the comments to nofollow at any point of time so do it at your own risk
