I only donate to opensource developers and further development of scripts that I find interest in.

What is the reason they could think about to give you a donation?

usually the information on page must be useful, free or something like that people will donate.

I only donate money to my church of which I am a member and that's it. If I chose to donate money to someone else it most probably would be to some opensource project because I use a lot of programs that people have developed for free and I think that would only be fair.

For people to donate to a blog, you not only have to provide extremely useful content on a regular basis, but it's really important to develop a strong base of regular readers. Unless you can do both of these, you're better using the space for AdSense.

True too.. you need some content that's "hot" and people really wanna thank you for.

really depends on the cause - if your visitors think you're trying to make a quick buck, then of course they wouldn't donate.
