You can make fun of him if you WANT, I guess, but there's still no source of his speech. I do like this article, though: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060629/ap_on_bi_go_ec_fi/economy (not related to debate?)
Chill out guys, only happened a little bit about, will take a bit for the reference to get published...
Dude.. give us a quote or something that actually puts the word "King" in context. I want to know exactly what he was saying when he said it.
I love how the anti Bush people always expect us to take their words on everything without providing the real context and/or a quote.
Relax people I am searching for a transcript of his speech with the Japanese prime minister. At the end of the speech he jokingly said that "the king" welcomes him, meaning Bush and that he was a friend and the usual bull.
FOUND IT! http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2006/06/20060629.html All the way in the end. "Americans cherish our friendship with the Japanese people and value our alliance with the nation of Japan. And we honor the leadership of Japan's Prime Minister Koizumi. He's a man of vision; he's a man of integrity; and I'm proud to call him my friend. I thank the Prime Minister for coming to the White House. And I'm looking forward to joining him tomorrow at Graceland. (Laughter.) Officially, he's here to see the President -- but I know the highlight of his visit will be paying his respects to the King. (Laughter.)" It is obvious that he threw that subliminal message in there on purpose. Otherwise why make a point of it?
No hating, just funny some of the stuff he says. Wonder if it is him, or the writters. "And I'm looking forward to joining him tomorrow at Graceland." was this an elvis reference?
Geez, he was referring to Elvis who is referred to as 'The King' in the US. Can't believe I wasted my time reading this thread....
To bad he didn't get up on the table and start doing the windmill. air guitar, to windmill, to hotel california, hold curled lip.. and exit stage left. Where do you think elvis got his moves?
HA HA! Good one, man! Bush rocks sometimes! You know, when he's not sending poor kids into silly wars, destroying the economy, the schools system or the environment.
You are such a freakin moron, earlier in the speech he commented on how the PM was going to graceland and that he is a HUGE elvis fan. What a dope! Get off your bush bashing and pay attention to what is really important, winning this war and getting our boys home might be a good start
LOL @ guru-seo. I get it now... thanks "Henny" This thread could probably be closed... as this has been cleared up.
this thread should stay as one of many evidences that Bush haters don't really read/listen/think before they post comments
