I think it has lots to do with the evolution, when it all started we were all one single cell and then we got divided.
So we got few things from the girls and the girls few things from us
(Just speculating)

 

So that men don't feel cheated.

"God gifted women with breasts and left men with barren grounds....."

So that you don't pray " oh! lord pls give a pair of nipples to your poor child"....

 

It's great that men have nipples, so they can have more piercings, I guess ))

 

I think it is due to the significant evolutionary strategical paradigm of the male hormone called androgen which ensures that the secretion of the endocrine gland has the cerebellum that can secrete enzymes like lipase, and stimulate the pelvic region of the mitochondria to actually create substantial space for the enlightenment of the riboflavin tissue that is located in the cerebrum of the human kidney.

this is an intriguing question this is what I found out about this subject:

The answer is that as embryos men and women have similar tissues and body parts. If anything the embryo follows a 'female template'. That is why nipples are present in both sexes. It is the effect of the genes, the Y chromosome and the hormone testosterone that brings about the changes and masculinises the embryo. Testosterone promotes the growth of the penis and testicles. Because nipples are there before this process begins the nipples stay!
Nipples and breast tissue have no function as such except for perhaps protecting the heart and lungs from injury.

 

They are just nipples and not mamary glands which are present only the females not in the males.

Men have nipples because we all were conceived female. Somewhere during conception or pregnancy we either stay a female or turn into a male. You may notice male and female have all the same "bits" but they differ in size and function. the clitoris for example is the female counterpart to the penis........
