hi, i was wondering which is better for creating seo link on site: let's say am talking about cars and prices: http://xxx.com/carsprices.html or http://xxx.com/cars-prices.html which is better for seo ? or same ?
the second option is better as it contains hyphen which will be treated as space and hence cars and prices will be treated as different keywords. on the other hand, in the first option car and prices will be treated as single keyword
Hey Dude. Both are same so don't worry about that. if you search a term like "car prices" and "car-prices" the results will me same so SE never consider the hyphens. If you use hyphens in URL it's look good and professional.
Second one is the better option... hyphens in URL look more professional and more beneficial for the website as hyphen would separate both words and search engine would treat them as two different keywords
Sure. both are same but second option is better than first for search engine friendly and two different keywords
for seo it diesnt matter its more your backlinks and content and keywords that will make the difference
Probably not to much difference either way. However, it makes it easier for visitors to read and remember your url when you use a hyphen to seperate the words.
As per my experience second one is best. because i use my all url like second method(use hyphen(-)) and i got result. as per i know hyphen define that keywords in two words. if you have read more then read this http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/dashes-vs-underscores/
The second option is better in just making your site look neater and more pro, SEO wise both are the same.
If its going to be on a porn site then niether lol jk xxx.com. But i think the one with the dash because it seperates the two words. No one types in carprices in google, they type in car prices
The second one is more readable when it comes to human visitors... but as long as you have good content on the topic, you should not be worried about your SE..
Second option is easier to read but I see no difference in SERPS pages that use hypens and those that don't
